Off the "Beef" soundtrack, looks & sounds like the new Warren G. featuring Krs-One & Lil Al "Let's Go" (MSC Ent./QD3) is gonna HIT! Here's what some of our Rap Attack panel of dj's had to say about it: Brian Coulombe (WBRS/Waltham, MA): " Actually a pretty hot track. Much less G- Funked out than most Warren G. ish. Ideal beat for KRS. Will give this some spins for sure. The white vinyl is the bomb plus the addition of "F The Police" is nice as well."... Noah Ward aka DJ Honeycut (KPSU/Portland, OR): " Warren G and Krs-One on the same track is both a daring and good move. Dope lyrics great background vocals. Who ever dreamed this up is smart."... Rich "DJ IMPERIAL" Lawson (KSMU/Springfield, MO): " Surprise! Looks who is doing a track together. Ha! I was scared to put this one on the platter. But holy shit, to my surprise this is the sneak attack for your eardrums. I Love it!"... DJ Solo (WECI/Richmond, IN): " KRS-One reppin the mic sayin, "It's A Movement Let's Go" I knew that this was a postive record. This has major potential. "The Block Party" however, has the feel that I could see it as a BET video. MSC is reppin the industry once again, thunmbs up on both."... Patrick Judabong aka DJ Buddhabong (solofhiphop.com): " Good west coast track with Krs - the teacher - killin it - beats alright w/ sick lyrics. 1 out of 10 i give it a 7."... DJ Furious Styles (WVAU/Wash. DC): " This RECORD is GOING to GO! Yo, when I first played it I couldn't believe. You know how that goes. When you get that feeling in your veins. Well I think this is a down south tract that is going to make noise every where. Big Up To the person who produced that TOO Nes cause that record is going MAJOR places. You heard it hear FIRST!"...Witnes (KPFT/Houston, TX): " This joint right here is hot, pure raw headnod, smash a car window, hip hop, KRS brings the heat, good chemistry with Lil AI backin him and Warren G lacing that g-funk production. don't sleep on this!"... DJ Earthquake (Live365.com): " This joint is solid. Love the West uniting with the East. We need this in the hiphop game. This is what hiphop music should be all about. Lil Al has some flows and this should create a great buzz for him."... Edgie K. (WUNH/Durham, NH): " This has a really uptempo production. It's a head nodder for sure. KRS really carries the track with his hook and his
dynamite first verse. He always comes correct with the conscious and thought provoking lyrics. It's good to hear Warren G. on something dope again too. I can do without Lil Al. She sounds awkward and out of place. I think the track would be better with her omitted. I've been spinning this regularly though."...
SHOUT OUT TIZIME: Happy B'day to Rich "DJ Imperial" Lawson from KSMU in Springfield, MO turning the BIG 32 this November 11th!!! My prayers go out to artist Splitt who was in a recent car accident. Get well homie cause you'll be back on the mic in no time! Sam Figueroa from WRSU in New Jersey (U DA MAN!). A special shout to my baby, Angie Hunt reppin' Teflon Muzik (XOXO)!
