the closest thing to a mixtape on the radio. The entire
show every week is new music, freestyles, and
interviews. The show is put together every Thursday so

You
may know him as DJ Pick One but to the rest of
the world, get ready for NY's own, Hobin Choi as
he makes his Directorial Debut with his
documentary dvd "What Hip-Hop Is From The Perspective
Of." I got an exclusive advance copy & I have to say,
Hobin did a great job & he's on his way as a major film
director judging by what I saw. This documentary focuses
on two pieces, emceeing & turntablism of the four key
elements of hip-hop, "emceeing, graffiti, turntablism &
b-boying" that makes up the culture that has blown up &
since been unstoppable. This is a must have for all
hip-hop heads to add to their library of hip-hop
collection. Artists featured on this 76 minute
documentary are Gang Starr, Jeru The Damaja,
Masta Ace, Immortal Technique, C Rayz
Walz, Doujah Raze, Ugly Duckling, DJ
Mista Sinista, The Grouch, Ill Bill,
Breez Evaflowin & much more! "What Hip-Hop Is
From The Perspective Of" would make a great stocking
stuffer! For more info, give Hobin a call at (917) 602.

must see to believe! In your mail now is Troy Walsh's
(aka Mr. Unlikely) album "Country Clubbin'" (Burb
Life). Check out his debut single, "Country Clubbin'"
b/w "Runaway Train" & a bonus cut "Whispers." Here's
what our Rap Attack dj's are saying about
Mr. Unlikely: DJ Solo (WECI-Richmond,
IN); " I got the Troy Walsh today & this is different
but just right for college radio, I can honestly say, to
see it in a mixshow would be rare, but then again,
Outkast welcomed us with some totally different
style. So Lt Dan has got some thing no one else has, an
artist with his own style"... DJ Kristyles (WSYC-Shippensburg,
PA); " His flow is tight, lyrics are surprising, Troy
impresses me, I have learned never to judge a book by
it's cover, because of Troy Walsh's looks may be
decieving. The man has skillz & people better
recognize"... DJ Earthquake (Live365.com);
"Country Clubbin" is a hot track!!! It's got a hot beat
and hot lyrics. "Runaway Train" uses my favorite Nirvana
sample. Yea I said Nirvana!!! It's a little different
but it's really on point. Solid TRACK!!!! I'm really
impressed with all these tracks. Troy Walsh is a
talented emcee"... DJ Honeycut (KPSU-Portland,
OR); " Troy Walsh was a suprise. Ive never heard of this
guy before but his tracks are really nice well produced
well engineered. And the promo package really made a
difference in the amount of attention it garnered.
Really nice effort and its rewarded with a nice amount
of radio play. Peace out"... DJ Opal; " This is a
hot cd right here in which I have been checking out
since I received it. It offers something for everyone
and takes it back to the emcee. Good shit!" and DJ
Raw B (KUSF-SF, CA); " Just listened to the
Burb Life Mix Tape. Overall the production
quality is good. I can't really front on any of the
beats. Lyrically Walsh is walking a fine line between
cute/corny or clever/gimmicky. I could definately see
this doing well amongst the college crowd!"... Next
weeks issue of Rap Attack will be the last issue
for 2003. DJ Kazzeo from KHDC in Salinas,
CA & our Asst. Rap Editor will reflect on what
all happened in hip-hop in 2003 & more right here in
NASTY NEWS issue # 113!
SHOUT OUT TIZIME:
"You
know who you are. Exactly a year ago you had me locked
up & doing time for a crime I DID NOT commit. It's been
a struggle the past few months climbing up the hill to
sucess again but I'm halfway there again! What doesn't
kill you will make you stronger! Through that whole b.s.
ordeal, I had the strength of my saviour Jesus Christ
on my side ( and I still do) plus the many dj's from
Rap Attack who wrote me & the judge kind letters
revealing a side of me that you are blind to see. You
know who really is suffering from all this, it's not me
& it's not you, GUESS. I forgive you for what you did to
me but when judgement day comes, I'll be the one
smiling, not you! Read this: ISAIAH 54:17."
