Prizmatik is in the process
of putting up his own online 24/7 radio station. The
name of this station will be known as "Hip Hop
FundaMentalz." His goal is to have different djs with
different styles broadcasting from all around the world.
It is already in the works. Alll it takes is access to
some sort of studio where you can do mixes, interviews."
I will be allowing syndication from other shows as well
There will be monthly dues of $50 at first however. I do
want to charge this but I figure it is the only way
possible for the station to keep going. I am doing this
all myself, straight out of pocket. I would like to
build it into a great networking ground, a family. I
feel your unique style would be a nice twist, I def need
to bless at least 2 djs on the reg from all the
predominate locations worldwide. Let me know if your
interested, I can hit you with more details. Hit me back
with your email regardless, so can stay up to date on my
projects if you have not already done so. This station
will be rough at first, but I guarantee you I will not
quit until it straight up for everyone involved. I am
def looking for feedback, so far I am thinking all djs
that participate will have their own private login info,
where at the appropriate time they can do their show
live or send to me pre-recorded. Also, they will have
their own page on the site and have the "best of"
archived. Much more thoughts in the works, let me know
what you think. Thanks again, hope we can work something
out," says Priz. For more info call (516) 698-6875,

The
Game is the latest edition of the G Unit
Records and CEO of Black Wall Street.
The Game is expected to not only reach platinum status
with his gut wrenching truth telling, and clever lyrics,
Game has the whole Western region firmly planted on his
shoulders. As many are rooting for him to resurrect the
West Coast, he is as anticipated as Tupac's "All
Eyez On Me Album." This Compton native has been getting
a growing buzz with his winning diss to New Jersey
native, Joe Budden, "Budden Budden Budden"
chanted in the background has amazed even the East Coast
veterans, causing a buzz nationwide. Needless to say the
"Beef" between The Game and Budden has been recently
squashed, it still doesn't erase the fact that The
Game's lyrical ability to demolish his competitors is
not only an asset that he has, but an ability that can
be unleashed given the right time, person and lyrical
circumstance. The Game's story is an interesting one
indeed. As this former drug dealer, current gang banger
has survived 5 shots, a crime riddled neighborhood,
personal dramas and woes, he has lived to tell it, and
tells it so eloquently in each rap song. The Game was
left for dead 5 years ago, no one thought that he'd live
to tell his story. Yet he is alive and well, with
somewhat of an attitude, but can you blame him? His
debut CD which is set to have the radio circuit editing
the lyrics to ensure the people get the message- NIGGAS
WITTA ATTITUDE pays homage to the original rap legend
Eazy E. People are already stating that the Game is
the best artist to be expected in the fourth quarter.
Shanda Sealy of Platinum Queens, Radio
Promoter, reveals, "When Ms. Miller sent this Game
snippet, I sent it to the radio DJs and they all came
back with a favorable response. 100% total support
regardless of coast." Everyone is anticipating that this
West Coast native, but bicoast lyricist is able to
penetrate every single region, because his style is
universal. He is gritty and unapologetic like Eminem, he
is passionate like Tupac, he has an attitude like Ice
Cube, and has clever lyrical wordplay like Jay Z
. What a powerful combination to have, but more
importantly what a relief to have some more talent grace
the scene. With this dynamic power punch, everyone in
the industry is sure to be intent on getting Game. Do
you got Game? Go to
http://www.thegame.aftermathmusic.com/ to catch
up on the latest music news. Experience just a glimpse
of his talent by this easy download in no time with this
electronic press release. Hear his wonderful wordplay,

Rap Attack
takes
a "WHAT'S UPPER" look this week with: DJ
Kazzeo (KHDC-CA): "
That's right, it's that time
of the year again. Sept. 15th, 2004 will be the 11 year
anniversary show on the air at 90.9FM KHDC in
Salinas, CA. I am inviting any and all record promoters,
label reps, and artists to call in and help make this
show as jam packed as possible. I will be recording the
show and copies will be available upon reuqest. The

hear from some of you on this night. Now that's wassup!!!"...
Wildman Steve (BringTheNoise.com): "
Nes, Thank You for the mention of Chuck D's
new Count Down Show on AOL. I think this show has
potential to make noise and hopefully become syndicated.
We have good people behind it with Alex Mejia and
Davey D and of course the boss Chuck. I also like
your idea of a Hip-Hop Seminar which is well needed.
CMJ every year continues to drop the ball on doing a
seminar on Hip-Hop. I remember the good ol' days of The
New Music Seminar where I first met you. It included
Hip-Hop Music and panels. I plan to be there. I hope
cats and labels from NY and all over will support. If I
can be of help holla and let me know. Once again I thank
you as always. "Most Humble One" Nasty Nes"...
Jason Gloss (WOWL-FL): "
On the heels of last year's
A League Of Our Own, the Phila Flava team
is back and ready to deliver Volume 2 in the series.
This time they have teamed up with the Vintage Music
Group and raised the bar from a mixtape to a
nationally distributed compilation album. As with the
first release, executive producer Jason Gloss
demonstrates that he has a knack for assembling diverse
artists (signed & unsigned) that are truly in a league
of their own. A League Of Our Own: Volume 2
features an all star cast of emcees and producers from
around the country including; Brother Ali,
Planet Asia, Styles of Beyond, Supastition,
Roosevelt Franklin, Baby Blak, Evidence,
Camp Lo, FT, Breez Evahflowin,
Pumpkinhead, Dave Ghetto, K-Otix,
Storm The Unpredictable, Martin Luther,
QN5 All-Stars and much more. Highlights on A
League of Our Own: Volume 2 include Brother Ali
spilling his guts on the lead single "Fire In The
Eye." Supastition continues to amaze while
spitting flames on the sure-shot "Adrenaline" and Styles
Of Beyond creeps back in the spotlight with the
energetic "Style Tip" that's bound to have heads talking
for awhile. Collaborations are also in full effect on
Volume 2 when underground favorites like Baby Blak teams
up with Dilated Peoples' Evidence on "Heat" and
Dave Ghetto enlists Breez Evahflowin, Pumpkinhead and
Rok One for the soon-to-be classic "Veteran's Day."
Other highlights include the QN5 All-Stars providing
comic relief on the smash "Commercial Rap," Roosevelt
Franklin's "A Thief In The Night" and the westcoast
bangers "Ball Til You Fall" by Planet Asia and one of
Cali's hottest newcomer, Flii Styles on "Black
Elastic Rhythm" alongside one of Okayplayers' own
Martin Luther on the hook. Overall, the album proves to
be not only one of the hottest releases of the year, but
that everyone involved with the project is someone to
definitely keep your eye on. Street Date: September 21,
2004"... Reggie Love (WOWL-FL): " You
probably have wondered why i haven't sent out a playlist
this week.....because of the damage that Hurricane
Frances left and the impending damage that Hurricane
Ivan might leave, the campus of Florida Atlantic
University has shut down all this week, meaning WOWL/FAU-Owl
Radio has shut down broadcasting last week. We will
be back up and running (God willing) on Tuesday
of this week. If you have any questions about tracking
or if we have received an package of material, please
email me back with any concerns. You can also call me on
my cell (914) 659-2065 to see what the status of the
station is. From what we are hearing fom the University,
classes will reums on Tuesday, thus the station will be
back on the air on Tuesday. Until then there will be no
charting or reporting on CMJ, Rap Attack,
etc. until the station is sopen and I am able to get
into the station to do any tracking. thank you for your
understanding and I hope to talk yo all of you very
soon"... Edgie Kokoski
(WUNH-NH):
" I'm sure you've all saw the billion replays or
heard by now, but here I go. My MTV VMA's
wrap-up:
(1)
Beyonce is on strike two with that f'd up
Blair from Facts of Life weave (the girl is beyond
beautiful, doesn't seem like it should be that hard to
do her hair, someone needs to get fired).
(2)
I understand Mase wants to promote his album, but
I think there's a better time to do it than when
Diddy's talking about Citizen Change and how
people need to vote.
(3)
Alicia Keys has put managed to yet again put
herself levels above all current females in the
recording
industry.
(4) I
think MTV should have put more thought into background
song selection, Jo Jo's "Get Out" wasn't the best
choice to play after the Jay-Z retirement
segment.
(5)
Vivica Fox acted a damn fool.
(6)
I think the Kerry daughters got booed, because
the crowd was too drunk and thought they were the
Bush
daughters.
(7)
Pitbull should have received more airtime for his
performances.
(8)
Terror Squad had the whole world leaning back.
(9)
If I would ever take acid and go to a mormon church
service, I have a weird feeling that I would understand
Polyphonic Spree a lot better. Glad to see MTV's
not letting their payola become too obvious these days.
(10)
MTV should never have an awards show again without a
real host. The whole night was off and I couldn't tell
if it was MTV, The Source Awards or the
Making of Phat Beach 2.
It's
that time of year when it reaffirms by belief that there
is a God when 5,000 plus female students pour
into the sleepy Hamlet of Durham, New Hampshire
to party and slut it up for another year. Of course, not
all of the girls are good looking, and my college
experience was hallmarked by living on dorm floors with
heinous and overweight girls (there was one gruesome
beast in particular that brought some scrawny dork guy
home every weekend. I called her "Jabba The Slut"). But
as I am nearing the ripe old age of 25, I can't help but
feel like a dirty old man eyeballing these honeys. Just
a tip fellas: If you approach a girl on a college campus
and the cover of her book says "Math" or "Baby
Sitter's Club", it's time to back away and find the
nearest cold shower...not that I know from experience.
Spike TV will be airing a new show where a person
has to stay within 5 feet of Ol' Dirty Bastard
for 5 days to win $25,000. The show is called "Stuck
To ODB". I guess they must have passed on the
show's original title "Stuck to a grimey gold
toothed washed up f*cking lunatic deadbeat dad rapper".
I'm excited to hear that Little Brother is
signing to Atlantic. Now we just have to endure that
extremely short waiting period that rappers take to
release their major label debut. You can head down to
the record store to get the new Little Brother album
right before you go home to watch the next summer
Olympics...
The RNC is popping off in NYC this week. 250,000
white washed liars in the building, and 250,000 unwashed
hippies in the street. Now that's a choice I don't want
to have to make...
Never having sported facial hair in my life, my buddy
bet me $20 that I wouldn't grow a goatee. About a week
into it, I'm rocking the seriously 17 year old looking
scum-stache and beard. Hey...maybe those "Baby
Sitter's Club" chicks won't be scared off after
all... Mike Nice (KZSU-CA): Mike's new
email address effective now is: DjMikeNice@Comcast.net.
Delete all other emails you have on him... Magic Mike
(WPYO-FL): " Heyyyyyy, I am back in the game
now. We made it through Frances. Just wanted you to
know. There are still 1,000,000 households without
power. We are trying to get things back to normal now.
Thanks for keeping us in your prayers. It has been
sucking to live in Florida as of lately. Don’t stop
praying because Hurricane Ivan is supposedly on
his way coming through Ft Myers and Tampa. I don’t
understand man"... DJ Yoshi (MixTape-NJ): " Mark
September 8, 2004 in your calendar as a great day. Today
proved to be a prime example of music successfully
intertwining with sports&game presentation.
Continuing in their quest of an NBA Championship,
basketball franchise, the NJ Nets signed DJ Yoshi
today as the team's official DJ. This contract comes
after an extremely successful 2003/2004 NBA season in
which Yoshi played during select regular season games
and the playoffs. "Based on the success of having a live
DJ at Nets games last season and the organization's goal
to enhance the in-arena experience, we are pleased to
have Yoshi as a more permanent fixture of the Nets
Show," claims a spokesperson for the Nets. DJ Yoshi will
step into his first contractual season providing music
during: pre-game, quarter breaks and 1/2 time. He will
also share the responsibility of providing motivational
music, call-and-response-segmenters during timeouts.
Furthermore, The Nets Dancers(formerly Power &
Motion) will now entertain the fans to mixes which
are also produced by Yoshi! When asked to comment about
his new position, Yoshi states: "The best part about
being a DJ is looking at your audience and seeing smiles
or hearing screams. As a DJ, you control the crowd's
mood. In an NBA arena, the crowd is the 6th man. They
can inspire the players to run faster, play better
defense and play harder. I'm glad that I have been
chosen to help spark the fans and the team to what will
hopefully be our first NBA Championship!"
At the present moment, fifteen dates are set for Yoshi
to perform. Coming Soon: DJYoshiInc.Com

been a very long while since you all have been able to
hear from me, maybe some didn’t notice :). Whatever the
case Rube is back at work in his office ( not much of an
office, a tree with shade and a table) at school ironing
things out to graduate in May. First semester I'm taking
on 15 hrs, somehow I will find a way to survive since
its the only option. New York was off the hook, its was
a definite growing experience that I needed, and having
survived up there with all the craziness and BS I
endured as well as tragedy nothing can hold me. I want
to personally thank all the people who took time out of
their life to mentor me and give me some guidance. MTV
and Sony were both a rush and I am humbled by the
opportunity, not many kids get my chance that I received
and then squeeze as much out of it in a short amount of
time. Coming back, I have matured a bit, I am now 21
officially which is scary, (thanks to those who sent me
shouts on by B-Day), coming back from NY I has to burry
my grandfather. So the reigns have been let loose and
its time to get back to work. I want to introduce you
all these next coming weeks to a guy who has really
stepped up and given the radio show a face lift. His
name is Dj Kunal M, in the next coming weeks Ill
be trying to have you all meet. You all can email him at
kunal@theurbanassault.com. Other than that life
is great and I wish you all a great next quarter, lets
start up the UA hemi. Can’t you hear it?"...
Chela (WXDU-NC): " I just got back last week
from a 2 week trip to Nicaragua. I lived there for a few
years as a kid so I always love to go back. I went down
to celebrate the centennial of San Ramon, a town of
approx. 7,000 in the Matagalpa region (North-West) of
Nicaragua. I DJ'd three parties while I was there, at
"Tequilas Bar" in Matagalpa, an outdoor party in San
Ramon, and a large festival in Matagalpa. I worked with
DJ Faby and DJ Batman from "Radio Yes"
out of Matagalpa and gave their station a lot of Hip-Hop
music to put into rotation. Reggaeton and
Perreo are HUGE there, esp. artists such as Tego,
Voltio, Don Omar, Daddy Yankee &
Ivy Queen. I'm totally obsessed now! I got a write
up in one of the national newspapers, "La Prensa," here
is the link:
www.laprensa.com.
It makes the most sense if you speak spanish! Big shouts
to Luis Eduardo Martinez for making that happen.
I went on this trip representing the Durham-San Ramon
Sister Communities, which has started a Fair-trade,
shade grown organic coffee farm, land conservancy and
eco-tourism project that is now in a competition to win
20,000 through the Smithsonian! Please vote at
www.sustainabletourismawards.com for
Finca Esperanza Verde (project listed #1 under
conservation) to make this happen!! One vote is allowed
per email address, voting ends on Oct. 31st, and the
project with the most votes wins the money. Sorry to
bother u with that but it really could make a huge
difference! Thank you"... DJ Herk (MixTape-PA): "
I will be deejaying at
Lincoln University PA.'s October 30th Homecoming
featuring, "Jadakiss," "Floetry," "Tok"
and "Lil Wayne." There'll be at leat 2500 people
in their main gym. The after party will be crazy so
