Brown (MixTapes-Brooklyn): " Peep me out in Los Angeles this Wednesday, Dec 8th at the House Of Blues for the "Direct Effect Tour" featuring The Alchemist, Jin, Planet Asia, The Team, Roc Marcey & me!"... DJ Kristyles: " Ok Ok, I know alot of you guys are asking what happened to 717hiphop.com. Brian Coulombe (WBRS-MA): " Hi folks! Good golly the Haiku d'Etat record is hotttttt. Mikah 9 is the greatest rapper in the world. Sooo many nice records right now..new RA The Rugged Man friggin rocks, best use of a Sadat X sample in years, hehe. Much love to the Termanolgy record as well...definitely look out for DC The Midi Alien on the beats!!! Anyway since I've had minimal rap time lately I'll hopefully be introducing you all to some of our other DJ's who can begin to provide feedback and even pitch in on our charting"... DJ Toast (WRPI-NY): " I attended a funeral and burial at the Arlington National Cemetery this past Monday for a 21 year old Marine who was killed 2 weeks ago in the insurgent stronghold of Fallujah in Iraq. 21 years old! I work with his older sister. When he died he was exactly two weeks shy of finishing his second tour of duty in Iraq and was coming home. When the Marines played taps, 21 gun salute, and presented the folded flag to his mother, it was the saddest thing I have seen in a very long time. This Holiday season, there are more than 1,300 other U.S. families that have one less family member. I hope that the 51% of the voters who felt that a change was not necessary will think of those grieving families during the holidays. Seasons Greetings from the White House, where we have no plans to get our brave soldiers out of Iraq"... Edgie Kokoski (WUNH-NH): Here's my week wrap up I'm calling "STUPIDITY IN HIP HOP":
1. ICE-T: lucky shoppers were awakened the day after Thanksgiving by a pre-recorded message of the original gangsta urging them to get down to "Target" to do their shopping. Way to keep your street cred, Ice.

2. TRICK DADDY: Our old pal Trick has just finished taping a pilot for MTV where he cooks! Trick won't just cook any old thing though. "I cook anything but chitlins," he said. "Because chitlins smell like a dirty ass." Good thing he knows where to draw the line.

3. FLORIDA ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY: After planning a concert featuring the Ying Yang Twins, the University canceled the event because they learned that the groups lyrics were obscene and degrading to women. Who is the asshole who booked a group called "Ying Yang Twins" and expected to get anything but that? Note to FAU: If you want a wholesome hip hop act with no profanity, you have two choices: Will Smith or Aaron Carter.

4. BLACK ROB: Whoa! Is it true that Black Rob sunk the final nail in his illustrious rap career by stealing cash and jewels out of a Doctor's hotel room? Does a bear shit in the woods? I guess "Rob" was an unfortunate stage name for him to use. Just ask C-Murder"...
