Rap Attack takes a "WHAT'S UPPER" look this week with:

Nick Huff (KOXY-Los Angeles): " You heard it here first, three regions to look out for in 05:

California: with Game and possibly Dre dropping albums in the same year it could be the long awaited return of the west coast back in national spot light. Not to mention a long line of hungry mcs set to make mayor noice in 05: The Frontline, Balance, The Team, Sly Boogy, Crooked I, Ya boy, Daz, Keak and The Dope Game, Azeem, Phrophets Of Rage, Blackalicious and Zion I to name a few. Also look out for the king of slang E-40 to make major noise with the king of crunk Lil Jon and last but not least I'm checkin for Ras Kass in 05.

Texas: The mid west is set to blow with Slim Thug, Mike Jones and Camilionaire and company. Also look for Scarface, Devin and Lil Flip to keep making moves.

Florida/Puerto Rico: will continue to bring latin flava into Hip-Hop with the continued rise of Reggaeton. Is TVT going to be to Reggaeton what
Atlantic was to Reggae a couple years back? Most anticipated album to drop in 05? Dre, Game, Lauren Hill, The Fugees (Thanks Dave Chappele), Common, BlackStar, Tribe Called Quest (will it ever happen), Maxwell, Busta, 50 Cent, Blackalicious, Jurrasic 5, Goapele, Outkast (maybe next year). Shout out time: Nasty Nes and Rap Attack for adding me to their conf call panel, everyone who held it down at the scratch open house, Candince Clarke, Mr Choc, Arabian Prince(bout to drop some heat in 05), Aaron Eng, Denny Kim and Ty-C. Also got to shout out the Interscope crew, Kevin Black, Chunk, Maricia Magana and Benny Blanco for the hospitality and for throwing a dope ass listening party for Game and his new album The Documentary which is FIYA, big props to Game who came through, spit some heart felt words and put some excitement back into west coast Hip-Hop. I have been listening to the album since I left the event and I can truthfully say that I have yet to skip a track"...

Jason-D (KHDC #2-CA): " The homeless "Why lie? I need a beer!" sign award goes out to an unnamed promoter this week for this quote... "I know this isn't a Hip-Hop record but add it so I can get a deal with a major label." One industry observer commented on the widespread but rarely talked about financial problems related with the holiday shut down, "These guys sit around in their sweats and wife beaters while listening to old Sir Mix A Lot cds. They order porno pay per view from Thanksgiving to New Years without a thought about who pays for it." The lesson here folks is that we all pay. This issue affects us all in one way or another. Try not to dwell on it and be sure to use hand sanitizer after handling Rock The Beat Vol 3. (FEW DAYS LATER, JASON-D WROTE THIS): " Last week I poked fun at a promoter for asking me to add his record so he could get a deal. I found humor in that since that's really the point of all these charts but no one ever says it. I compared it to the homeless cat that asks for a beer instead of spare change. Why lie he says. The point of this message is that I offended someone I respect deeply with my smart comments. I do realize that many of you (promoters) are scraping to get by on a day to day basis. Doing what you have to do to put food on the table is the grown man shit these cats are talking about. I think being big enough to apologize when you've offended someone is part of it too. So I am sorry for my comments and do wish that you and your project gets all the success it deserves. Please note that I did add the record." (NOTE: I (Nasty-Nes) IS THAT PROMOTER & I STILL LOVE YA' JASON Dsssssssss NUTsssssssssss!!!)...

Nate Abney (WKDU-Philadelphia): " Its playoff time here in the city. McNASTY and company should stomp Moss and Culpepper with or without T.O.

It's a rap. Remember we didn't have Westbrook in the playoffs last year what an addition this year. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!! Here are some funny moments in past years of playoff failures
1. 1990 Charles Barkley and the Sixers lose to
Jordan and the Bulls 4-1 and the season highlights are played to Whitney Houston's "Didn't We Almost Have It All."
2.1987 The Flyers are down 3-1 to
Edmonton and one of the news stations shows Flyer highlights with Phil Collins "One More Night" playing in the background. Now that's just wrong man, and the Flyers went on to lose 4-3 in seven.

This week I also got my hands on 15 UNRELEASED Michael Jackson songs. Don't ask me how just know I own it, and for those in Philly who know me, I ain't coming up off it. So anyone trying to meet me in the Holiday Inn parking lot just know security is beefed up for the next two months"...
