What's upper? Before rumors start leaking out, yes I was
in New York last week for a quick two day stay. This
time my trip was due to family business. My sister
Ann is in the hospital & very sick. She has been my
mentor since I was a kid & it's because of her that I'm
even involved in Hip-Hop & radio. Please keep her & I in
your prayers that she gets better & that I have the
strength to deal with this. I'm sorry I wasn't able to
hit up all my peeps in New York, but I'll be back aiight
fam!... Last weekend I got a chance to get up on stage
in front of thousands of my peers at the "20th Annual
Filipino/American Expo (see photo above)." What an honor
it is to give back to my culture. I got a chance to meet
American Idol's Jasmine Trias. This fly pinay is
truly representin' on the positive tip as her new album
"Jasmine Trias" (Clockwork Entertainment LLC) has
got some nice tracks with some help from an oldschool
homie of mine, Alex Mejia! My boys from Q-York
& Knowa Lazarus also killed it on stage &
wait till you hear their new track "Filipino Anthem."
I'll be back in the studio adding my NASTY touches to it
with the remix so stay tuned! My dawg Lil' Zane
was also in the house rockin' his mic! Great weekend
y'all...
Remember peepin' out Erick Sermon's "Feel
It" featuring Alfonzo Hunter & Sean Paul?
If you do than you probably said to yourself that this
kat Alfonzo needs to drop his own solo ish! Now get
ready for the all new single by Alfonzo Hunter featuring
Fabolous with "Don't Stop" (Romeo
Entertainment). This track has got a tight hook & I
swear, Alfonzo sounds like the next Brian McKnight
while Fab makes this joint a hit! Stay tuned for
more info & vinyl will be shipping to my RAP
ATTACK panel next week!... Kreators has a
new single out with "Personals" (Kreators.Org).
Props to the vinyl jacket cover as it features some of
the finest asian hunnies (LOL)! Aiight, Kreators been
paying their dues & our RAP ATTACK CONFERENCE CALL
panel are picking the b-side to hit with
"Hardcore" featuring Krumbsnatcha & Slaine.
Both sides are tight but I'm leaning more for the b-side
to get some real turntable love. Check for it... Ras
Kass is back with "Bars Up" (Brick). The 12"
also has got more heat with "Deformed Pretty Boyz
(produced by Da Riffs)" & "Caution (produced by
Rick Rock)"... Remember Suga Free? A lot
of you may remember him off of the old DJ Quik
joints from back in the day. Suga Free is back doin' his
own thing with "You Know My Name" (Bungalo Records).
His music & flows are still tight & after hearing this
single, I felt like I was peepin' out some original old
school Cameo ish for the first time. Suga Free
droppin' soon... Peep out the new project by Big Boi
(Outkast), The Purple Ribbon Allstars
with Kryptonite" (So So Def/Virgin) featuring Big
Boi, Killer Mike, Black Owned C-Bone &
Rock D Legend. This cut is da ish. This cut is gonna
make some big noise on the real...La Bruja makes
her phat debut with "Bruheria" (Ill Tongue) by
taking the classic Big Pun sample from "100%" &
flippin' it to make this joint solid! Also peep her
track Fuego" featuring B-Real from Cypress
Hill which also has some real tight flavas to it!
For more info, log onto:
www.LaBrujaMusic.com. To get laced, give our
dawg Wes a shout over at Ch'rewd: (314)
785-0171... Yay area's own B-Legit is making his
strongest comeback this year with his new sdingle "Guess
Who's Back" featuring E-40 (SMC
Recordings/Universal)...

"Whatz the deal, Just wanted to fill you in on some
things going on over here. After getting things in order
I am glad to say that my 24-7 Audio stream is up and
running over at
http://www.wickedkarma.com The Stream
is called "Deep Crates". Yell I know not an original
name but it was becoming a hassle trying to find a name
that hasn't been used or didn't sound corny. So anyway
the stream is my own thing which I'm playing nothing but
the best in hip-hop and R&B 24 hours a day 7 days a
week. I plan on having 3 syndicated shows through out
the week, starting in about 3 weeks. If anybody would
like to have their mixes played on the stream please
reach out to me at
KIZONE@gmail.com and let's get you on the
air. Also be on the look out for The Agenda mix cd coming
out real soon and backed by another CD of independent
artist coming from the Midwest called: "Middleground"
which should be a great cd with the likes of
Approach, Reach, Human Crop Circles, Ces
Cru, Anticru, Image and a host of independent
groups form the Midwest. So If you want a copy of the
mix cd and the middleground comp, it will be out soon
and I will mos def get it in your hands"...

(KUSF-SF):
" What up folks?! Big thanks to The Pacifics for
stopping by Beatsauce this past Sunday. All Natural
Inc. has done Hip-Hop good once again with the
release of their album Sunday's Chicken. They
broke down the reason behind the title of the album
(which is a mean fried chicken recipe), spoke on their
Asian-American heritage, and proceeded to rip freestyles
for a solid ten minutes. Get more info about these cool
cats at
Http://www.thepacifics.com
On another note...I had a chance to
check out the Dakah Hip-Hop Orchestra this past
Sunday at Stern Grove. The fog was bone chilling (as
usual), but this ensemble heated things up with an
amazing set. I highly encourage all of you to check this
innovative group out. Their music was truly
inspiring."...
Milena Pastore
(KCSU-CO):
" Alright so I'm finally starting to get caught up for

informed of everything that you've got going on. I was
very excited to come back to so many awesome records.
Let's keep KCSU and Northern CO rockin out to the
greatest Hip-Hop ever! I will be in the office much more
often now that I am also MD, and will have more access
to the phone! Hee hee. I know I usually communicate
through email, but feel free to contact me by phone if
you ever need to (970)491.1695…also just to catch up
