Why get involved…

There is finally a site out there that puts aside musical tastes and focuses on bringing the DJ community closer together.  It’s about family, helping each other out, and supporting each other because of a common love…DJing.  If you are a DJ of legendary status, its time to give back to the community that supported you.  If you are a bedroom DJ, its time to interact with DJs you look up to.  DJs from legendary to bedrooms will all finally get a chance to interact with one another.  What’s not to love about the concept?!

Our boy, DJ Commando (KBOL-Iowa) is back from his trip to New York, taping a segment for BET's "Rap City!" You can catch him on the wheels this June 7th on BET...

GARCIA's latest joint "I'm Cuban" is featured in XXLMAG.com "Bangers" section. Go to the following link to listen and comment at: http://xxlmag.com/online/?cat=17. "I'm Cuban"  is this weeks RAP ATTACK "PICK HIT" joint by Tazzy Taz (EnLaCasa.com)"...

Hue Hef "Ain't My Style" (Never So Deep) is gonna keep NC on the Hip-Hop map! Already getting strong & positive reviews off the MP3 alone, look out for this joint to make lots of noise nationally on the Hip-Hop map...

Straight outta Oaktown is Remo Conscious! Look out for this emcee. In my opinion he is the Italian version of Immortal Technique & has the political & radical lyrical comparison's to a 2006 version of Chuck D! His new joint "Don't" b/w "Lies" (Soul Cipher Records) ships exclusively to our Rap Attack panel this week. Stay tuned...

Rap Attack takes a "WHAT'S UPPER" look this week with:

DJ EarthQuake (Live365.com): "My son Kevin Leo was born at 11:19pm, May 22, weight 7Ibs 7 ounces (see photo above)"...

Nick Huff (KPFA #2-CA): "What Up Everyone? I got big news coming soon about Hard Knock TV. We are in the middle of shooting 3 pilots and in negotiation with several networks. We are currently gathering the freshest music videos. If your artists are in LA reach out to me to set up interviews. Shout outs this week to Jessica at SPECTRE and Jesse at Def Jux for hooking up the interview with Mr.Lif, which was conducted by one of the Hard Knock TV host Davey D. Mr. Lif has some heat on the new album so make sure you look out. More info about the tv show coming soon so stay stunned, yaddaaadamean?!"...

DJ LoKash (WNHU-CT): "So even though my classes were over last week, a couple last minute lingering projects have kept me from sleeping as I've been working virtually around the clock to get them done. On the brightside, as a result I'll be launching a new web site soon where you can get all the info you need that's Dj Lokash related.
Other then that school has been pretty quiet since all the kiddies left this week. I'm in the midst of planning the summer program schedule and will be looking forward to some sleep once grades get handed in.
Can someone please tell me how Gnarls Barkley is #1 in England for 2 months yet still a virtual unknown out here?? That new Roots single is straight heat!"...

PrizMatik (WFTU-NY): "And the clock keeps on turning... So much to do, so little time. Much love to my man Commando (KBOL-Iowa) who just did a guest spot on Rap City . This summer is gonna be a wild one. I can feel it already. Shouts to all my sexy ladies already showing off the goods. Keep it classy now!
If you have a dope radio show that is available in podcast format, we want you to get down with the new Hip Hop FundaMentalz Podcast Network. Are you tired of the same ol' boring ass radio programming? I know I am. New technology enables us to bring it back to that raw essence once more. Don't sleep. We are more powerful in numbers.

Send an email with a link to your radio show along with contact info:

Edgie Kokoski (WUNH-NH): "A big thank you to everyone that shouted me out and sent well wishes during our flood danger here in NH. Luckily, I wasn’t personally affected but I know plenty of people who were. Other than the tornado we had the other night, things are pretty much close to normal again. As many of you know, I spend days working in the firearms industry and this past week I had to fly to Milwaukee for the NRA 2006 convention. Not being a big fan or supporter of the NRA, I kind of dreaded the encounters that awaited me on the showroom floor. In case you were wondering: inbreeding is still alive and well. I spent 3 days fighting off dirty, old, weird, fat, smelly, toothless, white men who thought that I was interested in their war stories of how some homeless guy almost once thought about mugging them and how if he had, they would have blasted his fucking head into next year. What also is great about the NRA convention is the array of ridiculous t-shirts that you see. One good one I saw had the famous picture of Charlton Heston holding the musket above his head with the caption “From my cold, dead hand”. The one that took the cake however was this one mongoloid who had a homemade t-shirt that boasted the maxim “If you have a dick and don’t own a gun, then you are a pussy”. Does that mean that that the women who own guns are dicks? I should have asked him. On a brighter note, I got to meet R. Lee Ermey, who you may have seen as the drill instructor in “Full Metal Jacket” or as the deranged Sheriff in “Texas Chain Saw Massacre”. Dude is bad-ass.     To make the trip even better, U.S. Airways decided that it wasn’t important for me and my suitcase to arrive at the same airport. With my razor tucked snuggly in my bag in God-knows-what city, I had to buy “disposable” razors to shave today. If you haven’t had the pleasure of using disposable razors, it’s like shaving your face with a spoon. They are so dull that you nearly have to carve pieces out of your face. So today, I look like Pinhead from the “Hellraiser” movies. At least they are cheaper than regular razor cartridges. I really love spending $15 for bits of steel and plastic. I wish they sold razor blades at the gas station, so I could consolidate my weekly ass rapes into one trip"...

WZND-Illinois: "I wanted to just drop you a line letting you know that Javier and I are both leaving WZND effective now. We both graduated and have hired replacements for our positions on the urban format.
Below is the contact info for Michael "Arcen" Walker, the new MD at the station.
It has been a pleasure working with you and I hope it continues.

If any label people can hit me back so that i can get your contact info so that I can be on your lists with this new address, i would really appreciate it. Also I' am looking for new videos to spin to the video show which airs every
Saturday from 6-7om om Krib TV (www.krib.tv), so if you can send me any new videos, that would really help. Over the past year, the station has gone
thru a series of management changes, including myself because I am no longer the music director. The NEW Music Director is Davis Rodriguez and he can be
