What's upper?
Attention RAP ATTACK Reporters & record
label reps,
December 13, 2006
will
be our last day to report your playlist for 2006. We
will be back in effect on Wednesday, January 10, 2006.
I will be cleaning house during the month of December,
dropping reporters & adding new reporters...
A
couple more weeks before RAP ATTACK shuts
down for 2006. Dayum, it's December already? This is my
month for two movies I'm lookin' forward to standing in
line at the box office for, Will Smith in "The Pursuit
Of Happyness" on Dec 15th & my all time favorite,
Sylvester Stallone in Rocky VI or "Rocky
Balboa!" It's hard to believe that the original
"Rocky" openned up in theaters bout 30 years ago & I was
there watching it on the big screen! His movies have
been one of the most motivational & inspirational part
of my life growing up. Can't wait...
Props
to the heads at J Records (Ken, Russ
& Inca) for gettin' Black-Ty aka
Tyrese on our RAP ATTACK CONF CALL
last Thursday. Tyrese was so coo & shared about an hour
or more out of his busy schedule to let us know bout his
new album that's about to drop featuring both a R&B side
and a Rap side. We wish Black-Ty lots of success on his
new venture into the Hip-Hop world cuz the feedback I've
been gettin' has all been, "DOPE!" Tyrese will also be
starring in next years, Summer 2007 motion picture, "The
Transformers!" Also big up to Jud Nester who took
time out to let us know bout his new joint he's about to
drop, "Hot." Stay tuned & much love to both Black-Ty &
Jud Nester...
True
Hip-Hop heads will remember the Mudkids. These
kats haven't dropped anything new & dope in close to 6
years. But they are back & comin' back strong with "The
Bounce!" Mudkids have brought the fun back into Hip-Hop
& if you need to get laced with vinyl, or get drops,
etc., holla at our dawg: Ron "DJ Indiana Jones"
Miner at (347) 693-8779 or online at:
crushevents@aol.com.
You can peep out Mudkids on MySpace at:
www.myspace.com/mudkids...
Just
heard a new Michael Jackson track "Give It To Me"
featuring Youngbloodz. I can't front but the
track was pretty hype & it felt good hearing MJ again.
Not sure if this is gonna be released to the public but
if so, I think "The King Of POP" is back! Big ups to
Latin Prince from the Bum Squad DJz for
lacing me with the new Michael Jackson...

Adam
L
(WMHB-ME):
"Just a quick note to let you know that I'll be posting
the Hip-Hop Nation playlists & WMHB station news every
Thursday after the show at
http://wmhbhiphop.blogspot.com, so make sure you
check it out, post comments, etc."...
Nesto
(WODU-VA):
"What's good family? Thanksgiving is gone and Xmas is
knocking on the door. I can't believe how fast the time
is flying by. DAMN!!! Before you know it Xmas break will
be here, and I can't wait. I need to recharge and get
some damn sleep. I haven't had a good nights sleep in
months. Constantly dragging ass all day. I do know one
thing though I need to start working out. No, it's not
going to be a New Year resolution because them shits
always get broke, but I seriously need to start
something. I'd like to start riding the bike around
town, but I ain't trying to get ran the hell over by
some jackass that cant' stay in his own damn lane and
off the sidewalks"...
Raw-B
(KUSF-SF):
"What up! We had a great show this past Sunday on
Beatsauce. Big thanks to AG from DITC for
dropping by the studio to talk about his new album
Get Dirty Radio. It was A.G.'s second time on
Beatsauce and he did not dissappoint. He spoke on the
investigation into Big L's death, the current state of
hip-hop, how current music inspires him and what it was
like growing up in the Bronx. Dude's new album is
quality hip-hop. Get it now or smack yourself later for
sleeping"...
Nate
Abney
(WKDU-Philly):
"Greetings sorry I've been away from for a little. Hope
everyone had a great holiday and all that. Ya man
definitely had his fill for sure. In any event I'm back
swinging. All my teams are looking mediocre and I can't
wait for the Nas album( Ghostface too).
That's pretty much it for now till I find something to
talk about next week"...
Edgie
Kokoski
(WUNH-NH):
"Pretty disappointing Super Tuesday this year. I was
hoping for a strong showing by some of hip hop’s biggest
stars, but I was left feeling hungry like an hour after
your Chinese dinner. Jay, Pac, Game…not
really the heat I was expecting. Game was the biggest
surprise to me as I expected it to really be a heater. A
lot of bad hooks and uninspired production. Jay should
have let Just Blaze do the whole album, because
his tracks are about all that’s worth listening to on
“Kingdom Come”. I know that Pac’s museum is in Georgia,
but that doesn’t mean his album has to sound like it was
made in Georgia too. I was waiting for Lil Jon to
pop up on that ish. Kudos to the underdog Fat Joe,
who actually exceeded my expectations with “Me, Myself,
& I”. A very solid understated disc. Now let’s see what
Nas can do to turn my frown upside dowN"...
