Last Sunday night was one of the best HBO nights as the new season of both "Sopranos" and "Entourage" debuted. Both were absolutely da ISH!. I also caught Ice Cube's new motion picture, "Are We Done Yet?" and I'm giving his sequel two thumbs up. No doubt a very, very funny movie & if you have kids, bring em cause it's a fun family movie you will all enjoy together. Props to Ice Cube who came correct on a whole new tip...

RAP ATTACK MIXTAPE reporter, DJ Technic outta the NYC,  has got 2 new joints he just dropped & both are PHAT! "The Rite Price" takes the classic sample from Bob Barker's "The Price Is Right" TV game show & Technic does wonders with it on the mic! This is a fun party joint. "Get Up N Da Club" has a coo Southern grind & eerie gangsta feel to it but worth playin' too! You can download both tracks by logging on to: http://www.dtechnic.com/. Also on the mixtape tip, DJ EFN reppin' Miami can be seen in the May 2007 issue of XXL Magazine. Much props...

True Terror Squad heads will remember the Bleach Brothers from nearly 10 years ago as they made their debut on their album. Well, the Bleach Brothers are back in the '07 with "Immortal" featuring Jim Jones. These kats are on FIYA.  The Bleach Brothers are a two member group which consists of Reka (aka Rek Norris) and Dirtman (aka Dirt Da Rock Morocco). The tag team hails from Jersey and Queens respectively and was formerly known as Q-Jru. Reka is a hard hitting mc from the Flushing QUEENS project “POMONOK HOUSES” who holds it down for the New York and Queens side of things, while Dirt holds it down from the other side of the Goethals Bridge (Dirty JERSEY). This group was formed in late 96’ due to an old friend R.A the Rugged Man setting up a meeting between Tommy’ O Rourke, Reka and Dirt man. But the mc’ing of both of these characters dates back to the late 80’s as they are not new to the game and have paid their dues. The Bleach Brothers, then known as Q-jru were featured on MTV’S return of the “white rapper” segment alongside of Dr. Dre’s new artist & protoge Eminem and were dubbed as Q-jru the “hard hitting bridge and tunneller’s who have the credibilty and talent to hit big”. After the show aired Q-jru went on to change their name to “The Bleach Brothers” and were featured on the Terror Squad self titled Album w/ Fat Joe and Triple Seis. They did this collaboration shortly after performing at spring break with TS and slightly before the death of Big Pun (R.I.P). DJ Raize (Mixtape-New York): "I recently released an online mix for one of the most overlooked producer in the game: Ski Beatz. Dude produced Feelin' It, Dead Presidents, Streets Is Watchin', People Talkin, Luchini, Cheapskate, John Blaze, and the whole Camp Lo album. Peep out the mix hosted by Ski Beatz and mixed by yours truly. It's an Audio Discography mix with his hits mixed with the samples he used. Got an unreleased Camp Lo Track "Ticket 4 Two" and an unreleased Jean Grae track off her New Album. 1000 Downloads in 1 week can't be wrong. It's a good look.

Beatz, Rhymes & Samples: SKI BEATZ is a mixtape dedicated to, and hosted by, one of the most overlooked producers in Hip-Hop history. Since his groundbreaking work with the Bizzie Boyz to his early 90's work as a member of Original Flavor, Ski Beatz has produced some of the greatest Hip-Hop songs ever - but dont take our word for it - just ask Marley Marl who once stated that if he could have produced any single song in Hip-Hop history that it would have been "Streets Is Watching" (Jay-Z, produced by Ski Beatz) ... This free mixtape (mixed by DJ Raize of Bklyn) features many of Ski's classic productions
(Jay-Z, Camp Lo, Fat Joe, Pacewon, etc.) mixed in with the original records that he sampled to create the beats. Towards the end you'll get to check out a few new tracks that Ski recently produced for artists such as Cover, Jean Grae and Camp Lo"...

Damian Rodriguez (KGNU-CO): "Hey all, why is it when people ask for feedback & it isn’t sugarcoat cuz the song is wack, they get mad? Isn’t that what u wanted & better to know the truth about what djs think about your artist/project? Damn, we got a million songs out there each day that come out to fill up our mailboxes. Make you shit hotter than the other 999,999. Most of the regular industry heads are tuff skinned enough to deal with it, however a few, local cats, indy people working their own projects …just cant handle not being the best thing since sliced bread. Again, go back to the studio…..Make you shit hotter than the other 999,999. Just a thought. Enough ranting. I am looking forward to seeing NAS in concert live. I havn’t seen him since I ruled the world was big…that’s 10+ years ago, so I’m expecting a dope show.

***ghetto highlight of the week: At one of my spots djing and this guy comes up to me to req a song….he’s got this shirt on & it’s pretty self explanatory.

Moral:You’re ghetto when your wearing your response/rebuttal when a girl shuts you down, gives you no play, for wearing that shirt, you tell her……

**ghetto highlight #2: At Hollywood video (similar to blockbuster) and a ghetto lady complaining about driving 2 miles down to the other store, where she drove in the first place, to return the dvd movie she rented, was too far. The clerk said he’d mail it 2 miles down the road, but she’d get charged. After making the stink, she leaves the dvd & goes back to the car. An innocent drunk bystander lady (about 350 lbs) got pissed, followed her outside & jumped on her hood, & theyz fightin. She broke part of her leg (we later found out) but was so drunk her 350lb ass couldn’t feel it. I think just justice served itself.

Moral:You’re really ghetto when you can’t drive to the original place of movie rental. That falls in the category of exxxxtra lazy. 2 miles? C’mon, and they had a car! The funny thing is, the one who wasn’t lazy enough to open a can of whoop azz w/ a broken leg was the fat chick. How ironic is this true story?"...

Garbs Infinite (WRUW-Cleveland): "I HAVE TO START OFF BY SAYING THE NEW SEAN PRICE ALBUM IS CRAZY FROM START TO FINISH!!!!"...

DJ Raw-B (KUSF-SF): "Big up's to DJ Sure Shot of the Sharpshooters for coming through with deep crates and a hot new instrumental CD. Dude dropped rare gem after gem then gave our listeners an exclusive listen to his new CD The Sureshot Symphony INTERLUDE TO AN INTRO/INTERLUDE TO AN OUTRO. Don't sleep on this dude's beats"...

Edgie Kokoski (WUNH-NH): "It’s begun. I endlessly circled the parking lot last night looking for a space outside the building that houses our radio station. “Damn, it’s unusually crowded for a Monday night,” I silently observed. After finding a remote vacancy, I trudged up the stairs in my normal surly manner, dodging what seemed like above average throngs of giddy college students. As I reached the second floor mezzanine, I noticed large screen TVs and speakers strewn around. And as my gaze continued down the hall, I saw the horrific sight that I have dreaded for months now. John Edwards on a platform giving a speech. Fuck. The candidates have invaded… On Sunday, take a moment and offer up some quiet thanks. Sunday marks the return to Earth of one of the most important people in human history. This man was a great leader. This man was followed by many and doubted by even more. This man revolutionized the world we live in. He inspired us. This man suffered, so that you and I could lead enriched lives today. He was more than a mere mortal. His name is Tony Soprano"...

Darin "The CEO"Gloe: "Please add: ceo@latenightrecordpool.com to your mailing list and my new call letters for reporting are WESE/KBDS/AOL Radio"...

Vernassa Fields (Live365.com-SPYN CYCAL): "I'm working on building my Christian/Faith based Hip-Hop music library for specialty programming every Sunday on Spyn Cycal Raydio. Every Sunday will air Christian/Faith based Hip-Hop all day... Please service me with material to my address listed above in NASTY NEWS"...

Solo (WECI-IN): "If you wanta make sure that I am rockin your music please send it to the addy below, otherwise I dont know it even exists. I dont care if the station gets music, but they dont inform me if it comes in or anything.
Don't take me wrong, I love my station, they gave me my big break.. We just have a communication failure.
