Attention Martial Art Heads & Bruce Lee fans: Bruce Lee's classic 1973 film, "Enter the Dragon," will be remade by Warner Bros. The remake, to be titled "Awaken the Dragon," will be written and directed by Kurt Sutter, producer of "The Shield" TV series. It will be released by Warner Independent Pictures. Warner Bros. publicist Laura Kim said the movie will tell the story of an FBI agent who investigates a Shaolin monk and underground kung fu fight clubs. China's Shaolin Temple is renowned for its martial-arts tradition. Kim declined to reveal the casting choices, budget or shooting schedule. Lee played a Kung-Fu fighter who infiltrates an island occupied by a rogue martial arts artist in "Enter the Dragon." He died in 1973, at 32, from swelling of the brain. Stay tuned for more on "Awaken The Dragon"...

Rap Attack takes a "WHAT'S UPPER" look this week with:

DJ SA  (KRUX-New Mexico): "Hope everyone had a good weekend. I am the resident DJ on Friday nights for Club Bourjalais in El Paso. Once again, thanks to everyone, keep the music coming!! Dont forget to tune in to the live feed every Tuesday night from 7-10 pm (mountain time) at www.kruxradio.com , with my mixes being aired from 9-10 pm. Peace and God Bless.

DJ S.A. - Troy Candelaria - 829 Amarantha Ct (San Ysidro Rd) - Las Cruces NM 88007 - (505)526-9064 / (915)920-7248 cell"...

Damian Rodriguez (KGNU-CO): "WASSUP YA’LL! I’ve been on a vaction this month, doing Vegas for my bday in early August & visitng my pops in Louisville. Can someone please snap their fingers to send snap music away…..aghhhhh!!! the shit is killing Hip-Hop & driving me crazy doing club sets. U could plug in any no name rapper & no one would notice. Someone in snap music piss off 50 & start a battle or something, weezy aint exactly snap or the greatest rapper alive.

Ghetto highlight of the week: I’ve had so many over my 2 vacations in 1 month, but this one has a picture that took the cake. Its eternally a classic. Went to the baseball Rockies vs Giants game  and I saw a Mexican convertible…..WTF is a Mexican convertible u ask? Its when u have Mexicans driving ding’d up car & thought it was too hot w/ the AC broken. Instead of buying a new AC, they called cousin Juan to make a home made convertible.

Moral: You’re ghetto when your actually brave enough to put a girl in the passenger seat of a Mexican concept car.

Ghetto highlight of the week #2: Djing at the club, the unisex bathroom is next to the dj booth. Out comes the gogo dancr girl w/ fishnets, thigh high boots, looking the role of a skimpy cage dancer, and out follows a guy looking like Bam Magera’s uncle, “don vito”. Older fat white hair dude, totally just gross. Rumor has it that the girl likes anal & this dude was wiping his mouth on the way out….she had 3 inches of crack that she forgot to cover up of her partially played w/ panties….

Moral: You’re a dumb blonde when you let a guy looking like “don vito from mtv bam show” run any kind of game on you. Money or not…its just gross! What does an old dude like that say to a young girl that could be his daughter’s age to go to the toilet & make out & fuck! Ewwwwwwwww"...

DJ Raw-B (KUSF-SF): "Sup peoples! Big thanks goes out to the Subatomic Soundsystem from Brooklyn, NY for dropping by Beatsauce this past Sunday. Treasure Don, Emch, and Rhiannon were in the City doing a show and stopped by to promote their new album On All Frequencies. Dub Reggae Hip-Hop heads will appreciate this crew's music. Get more info at http://www.subatomicsound.com

Also wanna thank local kid Bobiwan for dropping off copies of his debut wax (yes actual vinyl). The EP features some ill cuts from DJ Shortkut and Vinroc as well as solid rhymes from local MCs. For more info go to http://www.myspace.com/bobiwan83...

Kazzeo (KHDC-CA): "This is one of the best weeks all year since it's the start of football season. Finally there is something good to watch on tv instead of all these jackass vh-1 "so & so of love" shows.
Had a once in a lifetime night last night. Went to see the legendary Stevie Wonder in concert in
Saratoga, CA. It was pretty awesome since it was a very small venue (1500 people) at a mountain winery. Yeah, I'm doing it big dog style. LOL.
I'll be celebrating 14 years on air at KHDC this week. If you'd like to call in and be part of the show, here's all the specifics.
Wednesday night / September
12
6pm - 8pm
west coast / 9pm - 11pm east coast
831.758.5432 (call in number)"...

Nesto (WODU-VA): "Yes, yes.. the semester is in full swing, and the show is in full swing. Tues and Thurs 9 to 10pm.
A little question for the fam out there. What made you get into radio, and why are you still doing radio today? Reason I ask this is because I've been on the air since 96, and recently I was asked that same question. For me getting on the air was to give me an outlet to play the music I felt needed to get played and to break some new acts. It was never for the fame, trust me, because I am definitely not famous..haha... And I still approach it the same way today. Got to keep the real College radio vibe alive, and got to break them new artist that are trying to come up with some good music. Just imagine, if there were no college radio.. WOW.. there would be a lot of un-played music out there. Holla back: inthecrates@hotmail.com...
