ReverbNation Launches Profile Pages designed for Record
Labels & Managers, Plus a Full-Service Music Marketing
Division
After
months of anticipation, ReverbNation.com has
launched the beta version of Record Label and Manager
profile pages, complete with a suite of powerful free
tools designed to meet the needs of Labels and Band
Managers of all sizes. The offering includes many of the
same features that have helped connect more than 60,000
Artists with over 1,350,000 music fans worldwide.
Profiles include sections for latest releases, news,
songs, info about the label, and an interactive artist
roster. Labels and Managers can add artist profile pages
to ReverbNation directly from their Profile page and
maintain administrative control over those artist pages,
or turn them over to the artists to manage themselves.
Labels/Managers also get a special version of the
TuneWidget to promote (and cross-promote) their entire
roster all over the web. Widgets can be coupled with the
free street team function to automatically track the
fans that help spread the widgets and banners. FanReach,
the highly acclaimed free fan communication system, is
also available for Labels to use to manage their fan
lists as well as the lists of each of their artists.
“As a label, we're always looking for the best options
to promote our artists. ReverbNation offers by far the
best set of tools to really get a feel for how your
online promotion is working. Our bands love it, their
fans love it and our label feels like we're just
scratching the surface as to what we can accomplish! -
Jason Bieler - Bieler Bros. Records (Nonpoint,
Skindred, Fiction Plane)
“Record Labels will always play a critical role in
finding talent and popularizing music, no matter how
much the business changes. What they do and how they do
it may change dramatically over time, but they will
always be around. We’ve listened carefully to our label
friends and their needs,” said Mike Doernberg,
CEO of ReverbNation.com.

About
the company
ReverbNation provides the innovative marketing solutions
that musicians need to compete, cooperate, and
differentiate in an increasingly noisy online
environment. Unlike typical “closed” communities,
artists use ReverbNation as their home base for
approaching marketing and promotion across the Internet
as a whole - be it via social networks, blogs, or the
artist’s homepage. Tools like TunePaks, FanReach, and
TuneWidget give the artist the power to spread their
music and information virtually anywhere. Real-time
stats then provide a 360-degree view of how the music is
spreading, who is listening, and which fans are actually
passing it on to their friends and posting it on their
pages.

more"...

Rap
Attack takes a "WHAT'S UPPER" look this week with:
DJ YOSHI (Mixtapes-New Jersey): "So if you
haven't heard by now, WPHH Power 104.1 did switch
formats. It's now a Rock Station. SUCKS, but what can
you do? So I'm back in the hunt trying to find another
home. I've always said it's the DJ that makes
himself/herself hot, not the call letters associated
with that DJ. So I'm just gonna have to make myself
hotter and a bigger commodity.... and then I woke up. No
but seriously, thank you to everyone that supported my
short stint on PHH, y'all know that I will not be held
down. We gotta show our dawg Showtime some love &
support dude with prayers"...
Edgie
Kokoski
(WUNH-NH):
"I don't know if you've heard the news, but Drag-On
has a new record deal. What's that you say? I beg
your pardon, I didn't really give a sh*t either. I was
just making conversation.
With all the hype around Jay's "American
Gangster" dropping 11/06/07, am I the only one to think
that the true "must have" CD of that day will be Lupe
Fiasco's "The Cool". That "Superstar" single is one
of my favorites right now.
The "must have" DVD of the week is Sopranos
Season 6 Part 2 which I copped at Wal-Mart for
the astonishing price of $52.97. At that price, they
will sell out faster than Giuliani"...
Nesto
(WODU-VA):
"Whats good people? Yo I hope we don't have anyone
getting caught up in that wildfire mess out west. I know
Nes isn't in the path, but hope no one else is
affected. That is insane for real.
Well it looks like CMJ was a success this
year from the reports I've been hearing. Glad to see it
was another fun year. One of these days I will make it
back out there. Hopefully, next year.
Edgie, your story of the hotel room and the air dryer
had me rolling bro I can picture that right now.. haha..
New Little Brother album is out, and I have to
say I'm digging it a lot. I'm going to say it's better
then their last album overall. Good stuff. Check it out
if you haven't. Keep the hits coming people"...
Kazzeo
(KHDC-CA):
"So CMJ week has come ond gone and I'm
sure there are a few heads that are still feeling the
affects. I got out to NY last Wednesday and started the
mission immediately. First stop was Holstens in
Bloomfield,
NJ.
You may be asking yourself "what the hell is he talking
about"? Well let me explain. Being a huge Sopranos
fan, I made it a high priority to get out to
Holstens Ice Cream parlor since it was the site of
the final scene of the Sopranos. And yes I sat in the
booth where Tony was eating onion rings. And don't
worry. Journey didn't start playing and there were no
suspect people in Members Only jackets walking
around.
After returning from
Jersey,
there was some time to kill before checking into the
hotel so it obvious what had to be done. Strip club.
Lace on 8th Ave. is now a must visit for me everytime
I'm in the Big Apple.
After getting settled in the hotel, it was time to catch
some dinner. Hit a spot in Times Square for that.
Shortly after, Jason D hit town and we linked up.
It was now time to check out the Roc Raida DJ
Battle. I've been to a lot of battles in my day and I
have to say, this was likely the worst. It was
completely un-organized. The dj's lacked a lot of
creativity. Needles were skipping left and right. It was
just a mess. It was good though to run into a few heads
in there such Lord Finesse, Lord Sear,
Crazy Legs, DJ Lokash, and various others.
And oh yes, this was the kick off of the Team
Heineken tour.
Thursday afternoon was the annual Meet & Greet. The
place was definitely packed with heads as DJ
Rhettmatic and DJ Premier supplied the music.
Ran into countless people such Marco Polo,
Kaze, Kev Sakoda, Dan Shores,
Buckshot, etc. Dipped out a little early to catch up
with the homie El Gant. Look for his new music
coming real soon.
Next was the Statik Selectah listening party. The
album had some real hot tracks on it but the event
really was that well attended. Bounced from there to
check out the Get Back part at Plan B. That shit was
crazy packed. Shoulder to shoulder is an understatement.
From there, it was time to do some real damage. Jason &
I ran into an old acquaintance from Santa Cruz who was
now a bartender at a spot not far from Plan B. Once
there, we were treated to free drinks for 2 hours or so.
So we were almost invisible when we walked out.
The Fat Beats showcase on Friday night was a cool
thing. Kind of a small venue but definitely a good vibe.
Later that night I had o go visit the Hustler Club down
on the
West
Side.
Very high end place but not very friendly. The girls in
there need to really work on their people skills.
Saturday was all about the
Bronx.
Took the train up to the Boogie Down and went to
Yankee Stadium. That was really cool. Got back down
to the hotel and had dinner. While Jason went out to the
ABB Showcase, I took the time to go shoot some
video footage around
Times
Square
and the surrounding area. Up around 50th & Broadway, I
got propositioned by a hooker. That was nice. Saw two
taxi's collide. Also saw a bunch of "9/11 was an inside
job" protestors. Met up for a late night meal with Jason
and crew around
midnight and pretty much called it a night from there.
Overall, I have to say it was a decent trip. I've had
better though. Shout out to everyone I ran into while
out in NY. Sean Rock from Koch, Kev Sakoda,
Marco Polo, El Gant, Illa Ghee, Biko,
Little John, Dan Shores, DJ Prizmatik, Kaze,
Jessica @ Spectre, DJ Chela, Lord
Sear, DJ Lokash, Lord Finesse, DJ Eclipse, Crazy
Legs, and Savvy"...
EarthQuake
(Live365.com): "Damn where did the year go?
Thanksgiving is in 4 weeks. I am so glad that the
Seahawks beat up on
St
Louis
but the running game is still struggling. It’s crazy how
the fans are “What have you done for me lately” as
Shaun Alexander goes grom MVP 2 years ago to being
booed at home playing with a broken wrist. Big shoutout
to B Mello. Getting close huh? What up Nasty
Nes? Thank you for everything you do with the
Rap Attack website and your influence on the
industry all these years"...
