What's
Upper? It's December already & while it snowed in
New
York
& there's heavy rain & floods in Seattle, here in Los
Angeles, it was 80 degrees & sunny. I'm trying to get
into the holiday spirits so the other day I dug into my
crates & created an all X'mas music catagory in my IPOD!
My TOP 3 X'mas tunes has got to be: 1) Jose Feliciano
"Feliz Navidad," The Whispers "This X'mas"
and Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song."
So on that wonderful note, "Happy Hanukkah *Merry
Christmas * Happy Rohatsu * Happy Kwanzaa * Happy
Ramadan * Happy Yule * Happy New Year!"...
ATTENTION RAP ATTACK DJ's & LABEL REPS:
Here's our holiday schedule as follows. The last day of
reporting your TOP 30 charts will be on December 12th

Cool
Nutz
returns with his first solo album in over 3 years. "King
Cool Nutz" is the progression and evolution of one of
the Northwest's most prominent musicians.
Cool Nutz has set the bar for not only music, but
Hip-Hop music business in the region. On "King Cool Nutz",
CN enlists the services of Hip-Hop heavyweight E-40,
supreme lyricist Ras Kass, Super Producer
Bosko, and more.
"King Cool Nutz" features the monster single "They Don't
Have To Know" featuring E-40 and DD Artis, which
is already picking up steam at mainstream radio. Look
for the street anthem "So Drunk" featuring Maniac Lok
and Kenny Mack to rattle trunks in a hood near you.
"King Cool Nutz" follows in the tradition of classic
Northwest musical releases from the likes of Pearl
Jam, Pleasure, The Decemberists,
Nirvana, Lifesavas, Everclear, Blue
Scholars, The Dandy Warhols, Sir Mix A Lot
and more.

The
Best Of 2 Pac's "Part 1- Thug" & "Part 2-Life" (Amaru/DeathRow/Interscope)
is in my hands as you read this. A great stocking
stuffer for die hard 2 Pac fans. "Part 1 - Thug" cd
features his classics: "California Love," "I Ain't Mad
At Cha," "How Do You Want It" "Hail Mary" & "Dear
Momma" to name a few. "Part 2 - Life" cd features his
classics: "Keep Ya Head Up," "Brenda's Got A
Baby," "Definition Of A Thug Nigga" & "When I Get Free"
to name a few. This 2 cd set keeps 2 Pac's legacy alive.

Peeped out the new DVD, "Eminem Live From New
York City" (Eagle Vision). Recorded live at NY's
Madison Square Garden, Eminem's concert features
guest appearances from D-12 (one of the last
times you will see Proof on stage with Eminem),
Obie Trice & Stat Quo. I am a fan of
Eminem, but this concert came across missing some of
Eminem's hits like, "The Real Slim Shady," "Superman,"
"Shake That" & "Bitch Please II." But this dvd has
footage of Eminem performing his classics like, "Stan,"
"The Way I Am," "Mockingbird" & "Lose Yourself." I think
Em's skits thru out the video showing him putting a gun
to his head & pulling the trigger is a bit too harsh for
his younger fans who may mistake his message. Otherwise
if you're an Eminem fan, than this may make a good
stocking stuffer for the holidays...

use.
Year

vinyl and all the reps that continue to fight for its

Nesto
(WODU-VA):
"Yo there is a mixtape you all need to cop if you
haven't gotten it yet.. the J Dilla/Busta Rhymes
mixtape that MickBoogie just released. You can
get it free on his page. Good stuff.
Ok, did anyone do the black friday thing this year? I
did that shit one year, and vowed never to do it again.
I saw people camping out and playing poker and shit on
the TV.. the hell with all that.. too damn cold out
there.. I'm sure there was some good deals, but I'll let
the next man get them.. Xmas is right around that damn
corner, and I am looking forward to it. Need more time
off from work, but your boy is going to be working on
Xmas again this year.. that's on some B.S. for real, but
the new year is coming and I'll keep hope for a new job
alive"...
Edgie
Kokoski
(WUNH-NH):
"I came to a sad realization this past Sunday. I think
that "The Simpsons" should hang it up. I found
myself losing interest in the show for the past few
years as the plots have become more sensational and
constantly bursting with out of place celebrity guest
stars. I find that the groans far outweigh the laughs
and that the characters I once cherished are not
caricatures of their former funny selves. My hope was
briefly peaked this past Sunday as I saw an ad for a new
episode featuring the return of Sideshow Bob. I
eagerly sat down on the couch at Pam for
anticipating some vintage Simpsons magic. Instead, it
was yet another far-fetched unfunny plot that left me
more unsatisfied than Biggie's "Duets". Sorry
Simpsons - it's time to toss in the towel.
I don't think that Lil Wayne is ever going to put
out "The Carter III". How would he have time to write
it? He's on everyone else's album and mixtape.
Seriously, I think that all of the Hollywood writers on
strike must be working for him; because dude is on
everyone's project. I know that he's done well as the
"flavor of 2007", after years of putting out god-awful
knucklehead music, but there's such a thing as
over-saturation. Just ask 50 Cent. Anybody still
bumping "Curtis"? Funny - I never even bought
one.
Well if Lil Wayne doesn't have the common sense to
manage his own career, he's definitely not going to get
and help from his adopted father/make out buddy Baby
aka Birdman. He was stopped by police in
Tennessee who subsequently discovered a pound of weed
and several weapons in his vehicles. Not surprisingly,
the cops didn't find any brains inside the car either.
If anyone wants to trade us for Eli Manning,
we're willing to take a 10th round draft pick and a case
of "Rap Snacks". Eli's so bad right now that the only
starting job he deserves is on the cast of "The Simpsons"...

"I’ll be supporting that Priesthood “how you Love
me Track” for sure. Just added it today! Big ups to
Nasty-Nes for lacing me with that. On that note, I
am working music for a R&B siger name Lyric James.
He’s pretty tight. Any tips on who to reach out to on
the R&B tip? Holla"...
Kazzeo
(KHDC-CA):
"Crazy week with all the drama in the news. I'm no
detective but something just seems wrong with the whole
situation surrounding the death of Washington
Redskins player Sean Taylor. The phone lines
were cut at his house. There was a break in the week
prior to his death. And he had a machete next to his bed
for protection. Interesting.
It was a happy weekend on another front since my
Raiders pulled off a win after a horrendous losing
streak.
Welcome to the world Andranik. Look forward to
seeing you"...

"Well got more than enough food. Thanksgiving was good
in that regard. Rakim was one of the best
concerts I've been to in a while. The command of the
crowd was crazy. Ghostface was great and so was
Brother Ali. A new respect for all three. Now
that I've seen the R(#1 emcee all time to me) there's
only MJ left to see live and I don't have to go
to another show if I don't want to. I watched the
Eagles blow a golden opportunity and now they want
A.J.Feely even though the Birds took an
L.I'm still with number 5 till he can't play anymore.
May go check Redman out this week as well. That's
