Rap Attack takes a "WHAT'S UPPER" look this week with:
Jason-D (RadioBoise.Org): "Progress! I think most of you know that my show airs in two places. Kazzeo and I have been holding down 90.9 KHDC in the Bay Area for years and the show also airs on RadioBoise.org based out of
Boise, Idaho. I am happy to announce that Radio Boise was approved for our FCC license. We have secured the FM frequency of 89.9 and are in process of filing for our call letters. This is huge. Think about the last time there was a brand new station in your market - not a name change on an exsisting frequency - but a brand new station! It was an all out battle and we had to go toe to toe with some major religious organizations who tend to pool their money and buy up stations across the country. This is a major win for us and we are very excited about. There is a ton of work behind launching a new station so we are probably still a year out from broadcasting over the air. We now have permission to begin building our broadcast transmitter and will go hard on fundraising to support our capital investments.

As always, my shows are posted on www.djjasond.com or go to www.myspace.com/djjasond to see the playlist and show links"...

Nesto (WODU-VA): "Ok I know I'm late on this one, but I just saw the Juno movie last week and I have to say I like it, but the movie caught me off guard because of the cameo by none other then DJ Cut Chemist as the science teacher. And I had to laugh at how he plugged his recent album in the movie. Good move, and still surprised that I saw him in the movie. That was totally unexpected.

Oh yeah, am I the only one that wishes this damn democratic election would end. These two are not giving up, but I think it's going to hurt the democrats chances of winning the big election in the end. Yet another reason the democrats won't make it into office.

Any how many people think gas will reach over 4 dollars a gallon by the end of May? I'm going to say I won't be surprised if it hits 5 dollars a gallon by the end of summer. What's crazy about all this is how is the "average person" supposed to survive with gas prices getting way out of hand like this. It's affecting EVERYTHING. Food is going up across the board, wages are not increasing to match the inflation, people are being laid off from work, companies are going out of business. Something has to give soon!"...

DJ Sage (CFRO-Vancouver, BC): "The brand new Lyrics Born album "Everywhere At Once", which is awesome, especially for my club DJs that like to sneak that good music in between those Flo Rida and Akon joints. This album is filled with lots of jams to keep the dance floor moving. He, Lyrics Born, is also starting off a West Coast swing this Saturday in Vancouver and he is known for his live show, so do yourself a favour and check it out!:
www.myspace.com/lyricsborn

In addition, to all the great music we blasted; we were also joined by special guests: Foul Mouth Jerk and Skyzoo. Both these MCs have got tons of talent and we are feeling what they have been put out - straight bangers "
Small Town USA" and "Necessary Evils". Evidently, they are also feeling hip-hops current state as they both spoke positively about the current indie scene and the lane that exists for them via digital releases and touring. Both artists have a couple of releases under their belt and are currently promoting/supporting their respective projects.
Foul Mouth Jerk is touring all over the US from May to August in support of his latest release "Street Light Music," which features ill production throughout and guests such as Grandmaster Caz, Masta Ace, Murs, and El Da Sensei: www.myspace.com/foulmouthjerk
Skyzoo has got the "Corner Store Classic Remix" album available digitally right now - check iTunes. He has also started working on his
major debut album "The Salvation", which he insures will be worth the wait: www.myspace.com/skyzoo
Check out my latest show!: www.urpradio.podomatic.com...

Edgie Kokoski (WUNH-NH): "My advice for the week: if you are a pasty New Englander whose skin tone matches skim milk, don't stand out in the Georgia sunshine for 5 hours.

I'm back from the
ATL this week but nobody who knows me can tell. The reason is that I sunburned my face so badly at the Braves/Dodgers game this past weekend that I resemble Freddy Krueger. When I go to the mailbox or to my car I have to wear a cloak, fedora, and bandages like Liam Neeson in "Darkman".

Speaking of people coming back home, how about Foxy Brown getting released from prison? And not a moment too soon. I was starting to think that it was going to be a summer void of Gucci worshipping slut rap, but thankfully, Foxy has already slated a new release for mid-May. Foxy got a hero's welcome as she emerged from Riker's
Island to find a cavalcade of supporters with several luxury vehicles including "a Maybach filled with clothes". I'm just glad that they gave her the proper respect that she deserves. Because getting out of prison just isn't the same unless you have a $300,000 automobile packed with your wardrobe waiting in the wings"...

DJ Frresh (KPSU-Portland): Here's my new cell number: (503) 477-3086...

DJ Savvy (KSJS-San Jose): "I just wanted to let you all know that I will be out of the country from April 22 - May 7 and will have very limited access to email. Last charts will go out April 21. I don't have anyone filling in for me but I will be catching up with you when I get back. mmmmkay?!"  Peepout DJ Savvy as she makes her debut on a "Balls" commercial:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1e29yQkaEA...

D-Tragic (805HipHop.com): "Hey What’s Poppin’ Fam? Hope everyone is doing good this week. It was hella hot out here in The 805 this last weekend.
