Rap Attack takes a "WHAT'S UPPER" look this week with:

Raw-B (KUSF-SF): "Happy New Year folks. Sorry to tell you this news that I am no longer at KUSF. I'm still doing my thing during the mornings on KNBR 680 and at the clubs/bars/house parties/Warrior's games/mixtapes...so keep the music coming, but the KUSF era is over. Thanks for all of your support over the past 15 years. Stay tuned...more to come...this is just a brief hiatus. PEACES!!!"...

DJ Sage (CFRO-Vancouver): "Obviously, Barack Obama's inauguration is the biggest news in a LONG time and will continue to be so for generations to come. Huge congratulations go out to Obama, and let's hope the progress keeps on rolling!

It was also a pretty big evening for the Urban Renewal Project! We were joined by Pusha T from The Clipse, who will be in Vancouver tonight with Malice, I can't wait. Pusha T let us know he listens to that new jack swing in the whip. However, we can expect to be bumping "Till The Casket Drops" in our whip sometime this Spring and it is slated to be another classic with production by of course the Neptunes, but also heavy hitters like Swizz Beats, Kanye West, Rick Rubin and Timbaland. In the meantime check out the Clipse mixtape "Road To Till The Casket Drops" out now. www.myspace.com/clipse

In addition, we also had a positive vibe filled interview with Chicago/Maryland MC, Soulstice, who was in attendance for the inauguration. Soulstice has got the hot new single feature GLC "Chi Worldwide" and is working on a new project highlighting the spread and talent of Hip-Hop worldwide. www.myspace.com/soulstice

As well as Portland, Oregon representatives Cool Nutz and Lifesavas who are both going to be bringing it along with Chief Xcel this upcoming Monday, 26th, for MNL at club Modern. Lifesavas are working on a new album, but I think many people are still sleeping on "Gutterfly" and "Spirit In Stone". I must thank Vurs and Jumbo for putting me onto Cool Nutz and I am definitely excited for the mailman to bring his latest album "The Miracle" my way.

Chill Will (WCBN-MI): "What's going on people? It's DJ Chill Will of the University of Michigan's WCBN 88.3 FM. Home of the longest running college radio Hip Hop show in the Mid-West and maybe the country. Be sure to tune into the show weekly on 88.3 FM in the Ann Arbor/Metro Detroit area. Or at www.wcbn.org Saturday nights from 9 to 12 midnight Est. For more information about me DJ Chill Will go to www.myspace.com/djchillwill734

Historic last week with our new President Barak Obama and record cold temperatures in the Mid-West. I was lucky enough to touch down in Cali and enjoy some fun in the sun. Big shout to Nasty Nes for the hospitality and hanging out with a brotha while in LA. Also Big Big thanks to MZ GZ who showed me around town and took me to one of the dopest spots I've been to. San Diego's Red C Lounge with dope Hip Hop and break beats for your ass, with Kid Dragon on the 1's and 2's. Saw DJ Charlie Rock who was celebrating his birthday, Dannu of Visionaries, and MC Arash grooving to the sounds. Props to  SEVEN and ONE PHAM who I interviewed on WCBN last Sat night"...

Kazzeo (KHDC-CA): "History is made! Last week was monumental as Obama was sworn in as the President. I really felt bad for the dude for two reasons. 1, it was the biggest day of his life and the idiot who swore him in didn't even get the words right. What the hell? And 2, he just inherited the biggest shit storm ever from Bush. After 8 years of having someone who can't speak, it's great to once again have a President who can get a point across.

I was a little suprised that Philadelphia didn't pull it off versus Arizona this weekend. I was rooting for Arizona but I really thought the Eagles would have been more on point. The Pittsburgh / Baltimore game was a good game. I knew the Steelers couldn't lose at home. And that hit that knocked out the Ravens player was ridiculous. Luckily dude was released from the hospital and will be alright. Now it's time for the Superbowl. Pittburgh will take it. That's my prediction. My last NFL comment will be thank you Tampa Bay for bouncing Jon Gruden's ass. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy . LOL.

2 movies you gotta see. Notorious was better than I expected. The kid who played Biggie is almost identical. He definitely studied for this one. I'm sorry to say that Angela Basset was very mis-cast as Biggie's mom. She just didn't nail the part. But the girl who played Lil Kim, oh boy. For one it wasn't an accurate casting since when Biggie & Kim were creepin', Kim had yet to be "enhanced" so the girl who played her at that time in her life was way more endowed. And luckily for us, the girl wo played Kim was naked in the movie. A lot. Nothing wrong with that. Another great movie is The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke. This dude really rocked it in the movie. The writing was incredible and it was filmed awesomely. And did I mention that Marisa Tomei was naked? Good times.

Thanks to everyone who reached out with birthday wishes"...

D-Tragic (805HipHop.com): "Just wanted to take my hat off to all who voted for Obama! We finally made it! Now with big steps ahead of us lets all work together to make change happen! It was a beautiful day yesterday. One that will stay with us our whole life. It’s all love!  Please send some soothing shot outs to all the Employees at Clear Channel Radio as some are looking at being laid off real soon. They just announced this morning that they will be doing a mass layoff for a lot of the 800 and some radio stations across the US. Wonder why your record is not getting played on commercial radio? Wondering why it Is so tough to get your music played? It’s because they are not making money like they used to in advertising and that is hurting them real bad! Mostly only major Labels are able to spend the 10 G’s and up to get their music heard at major market stations. The internet has taken a lot of that cash people would spend on ads. The internet is reshaping the way we do business today! So grasp on to the new technology and get on board. College radio still has a big advantage as we have always worked without the big budgets and have a grassroots approach to promotions and networking. So let’s keep working together and help top break new artists!

Another huge shot out goes to all the New RapAttackDjz! Welcome to the RapAttackLives.Com Family! Please hit me if you ever need anything or want to network! I got you!

COMIN IN AT #1 on our charts this week is FASHAWN with “Our Way” featuring Evidence – Be sure to get that track and play it! It’s hot!!"...

Nate Abney (WKDU-Philly): "Well it is really cold in Philly. My mother always likes this time of year because she says all the fools are off the street. I am hurt by my Eagles losing to the Cardinals( the Cardinals are you serious!!!!). Never fail there is always next year. Now my attention turns back to the Flyers and Sixers. I'll have something to tell my children and grandchildren about after Obama was sworn into office. History was made for sure. Here is hoping he does a good job. Gearing up for the new music getting ready to come my way. Don't let me down people. 5000"...

Nesto (WODU-VA): "What's good fam? So what are the thoughts about last weeks events? I personally feel that it was a big day for everyone. The vibe in the air is one of pride, pride of being an American. Regardless if you call yourself republican or democrat, today as Americans we have seen history and we have all lived history. The significance of the 44th president being a black man is huge. It means that the majority of America has turned that corner and saw past the color issue by electing a man of color to be our leader. It means that the journey and struggle of the late great Dr. Martin Luther King, and the the civil rights era was not all in vein. It means that anything is possible now for all races. No more excuses for not putting "our best foot forward" and making the right choices to succeed in life.       I didn't think I'd see the day when a black man would be president of this country, but here we are, and it's an amazing feeling. Congrats President Obama and congrats to the people of America. Now let's get to work and make things happen"...

Edgie Kokoski (WUNH-NH): "Although I watched the events of Barack Obama's Inauguration unfold on the internet with interest today, I was surprised that 2 million people were willing to stand out in the bitter cold to see it in person. I'm guessing that if you're not in the "mosh pit", your view is pretty much non-existent. Hell, I can't even pick out family members at a graduation so my chances of seeing Obama would have been about as good as my chances of seeing "Notorious" without someone getting stabbed.

Speaking of getting "stabbed" did you hear about the 22 year old co-ed who auctioned off her virginity for $3.7 million dollars? That sounds like a hefty price to pay when I'm pretty sure that you can get away with paying for a trip to the prom. At least the girl is choosing a classy location to complete the transaction: Nevada's "Bunny Ranch" brothel. I hope the guy at least gets some decent credit card points out of it. And a complimentary grocery bag to put over his head as he exits the building in shame.

Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl? That sounds as crazy as Joaquin Phoenix quitting acting to make a rap album with P. Diddy! Oh wait...
Watch carefully to see Joaquin imitating Flight 1549 in this clip:

DJ 3rd Rail (WNUR-Chicago): "I DID A GALLERY FOR "NICK SALSA" FOUNDER OF THE C.T.A. CREW AND ONE OF THE FIRST GRAFFITI WRITERS IN CHICAGO. HERE'S THE LINK AND YOU CAN WATCH IT IN (HD). JUST CLICK ON THE BLUE LINK AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT SIDE WHEN THE VIDEO APPREARS.
