RAP ATTACK will shut down for the Holiday season on December 9th (last day to report) & back on January 13, 2010 (1st day to report). Also debuting on Monday, January 18, 2010 our weekly Rap Attack Top 30 chart will now expand to a Top 40 chart. So our DJ's will now be able to chart & break 10 more Hip-Hop singles on their ALL NEW Rap Attack Top 40 chart!. This will be our LAST "NASTY NEWS" for 2009. Coming next week, "RAP ATTACK'S YEAR END ISSUE # 407"...
 

Roy Nelson is the winner of the 10th season of "The Ultimate Fighter." Nelson aka Big Country dispatched Brendan Schaub with a brutal knockout punch, landing a right hook to the ear that knocked Schaub cold at the Ultimate Fighter Finale  in Las Vegas. Also on that card, Kimbo Slice made his UFC debut by winning by decision over Houston Alexander. The coaches for season 11 of "The Ultimate Fighter" will be Chuck Liddell & Tito Ortiz airing Spring 2010...

Anyone peep out on the A&E channel, Steven Seagal's new reality show, "Lawman?" This guy is the real deal on & off the big screen. Segal's been a cop over the last 20 years in Louisiana & you don't want to mess with him! This is gonna put him back on the map & I still like the guy...

Nominations for the 2010 Grammy's were released yesterday and Beyonce, Kanye West, Jay-Z and Drake are all up for a few statuettes. Beyonce snagged three nods including Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year, while Jay-Z oddly misses out on his "Blueprint 3" monster album missing the Grammy deadline; he's up twice in the same category for "Run This Town" and "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune" featuring Rihanna and Kanye West. West and Young Jeezy's "Amazin" is nominated for Best Rap Performance by Duo or Group. Newcomer Drake continues his hot streak in 2009 with two nominations in separate categories. Grammy's will be held on January 31, 2010...
 

If life were a golf metaphor, Tiger Woods (see photo above)  is deep in the rough, as more women are coming forward claiming they've had affairs with the golf legend. Several women have come forward to national media outlets saying they've been sexually involved with the married Woods. Now that's a real PLAYA!...

Rap Attack takes a "WHAT'S UPPER" look this week with:

DJ Sage (CFRO-Vancouver): "It's beginning to look a lot like... URP Radio! We started off with a Double Shot from the brand new Souls Of Mischief

album, which features back and forth verses from MCs: A-Plus, Phesto, Opio, Tajai and prduction from Prince Paul and Domino. "Montezuma's Revenge" is available now, courtesy of Hiero Imperial. Much like the rest of the Souls catalog, this one doesn't disappoint and brings some classic Oakland sound to the 4th quarter of '09. If you've been down with the Hieroglyphics since the early 1990's, this will be a welcome addition to your album collection.

This is a project that I have been sitting on for about 4 years out of fear, but I finally got the courage to follow through with it.
I am planing big things for the music as it pertains to this project. Music has been my life since I was a child, and now I have a chance to utilize my passion for music in such a way as to provide our servicemen and women with what they need to continue to serve this country long after their military service is completed...
