We are getting ready to relaunch www.RockTheBeatOnline.com. This will be an exclusive source for College Radio DJ's to download the clean versions of new Hip-Hop tracks. Stay tuned...

Tampa, FL's own DJ Sandman can be seen on the Reflection Eternal tour as the DJ for opening act Laws! Looking forward to seeing that show & of course seeing Rap Attack's own, DJ Sandman...

DJ Frresh formerly of Portland's KPSU & now reppin' his hometown of Chicago has good news! Frresh is back on the radio & this time it's on the internet. You can peep Frresh out on www.YouHottRadio.com  everyday from 6pm-8pm (est) & replays of his show at 1am - 3am (est). The "FRESH CONNECTION" is BACK!...

Here is an excellent article giving props to Ricky Leigh. He is the man who started the DJ CONF CALLs & gave Mixshow DJ's their recognition.Ricky passed his legacy to me at
HITS Magazine back in 1997 so I could do the same with College Radio DJ's.13 years later my RAP ATTACK DJ's have kept that legacy alive. THANK YOU RICKY (R.I.P.) http://newsroom.mtv.com/tag/ricky-mensh/ ...

In addition, Fileblaze also allows you to view/listen to your files right within your browser - over 40 file formats are encoded automatically as soon as you upload, so you can listen to music, watch video, as well as view documents (MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint, pdf, etc.) instantly without having to download anything.

If you get the chance, please log on to Fileblaze.net and check it out for yourself. You can click "Register Now" in the upper right corner of the home page and start testing it out. If you like it, just hit me with an email and I can increase your account storage...just let me know: kevinsakoda@gmail.com "...

Rap Attack takes a "WHAT'S UPPER" look this week with:

Jeffrey Oakes (WMHB-ME): "What's up?  Good news! I will be maintaining the charts for WMHB for the rest of the summer as Malcolm will be doing a lot of traveling and will not always be in contact. But please work on building a relationship with him as the summer goes on, he will have full access to the Hip-Hop email account for WMHB"...

Chill Will (WCBN-MI): "What's up Family? Had a great week with the DJ Hideo tribute and lots of new music for the show. Rocked Detroit's Greektown Casino on Friday. Then had a hot show on Saturday, followed by my boy Ed's going away party. It's was standing room only and we didn't want to quit. Good luck Ed and hook it up so your boy can come to Toronto and rock the turntables. For more information about me DJ Chill Will go to www.myspace.com/djchillwill734 or www.twitter.com/chillwill734 "...

DJ Sage (CFRO-Vancouver, BC): "We got into it once again for another Tuesday night, featuring the new Scarface's first ever mixtape, entitled “Dopeman Music”. We figured it was kind of strange to see Scarface release his first mixtape after just about 20 years in the game, but hey... he says that because he's a free agent he wanted to do a mixtape! He puts on a lot of unsigned talent with this release, so on top of being a solid release, he's giving his people a chance. Check it out! We were then joined by Click from the Stylus Group. You might remember the Stylus Group for their yearly DJ Awards, among other things. Make sure you check out the "It Starts With The DJ" Conference which is making stops in several spots across Canada and touching down in Vancouver on May 22nd. Just Blaze will be the keynote speaker and Vancouver's finest DJs (including me) will be in the house. If you are a DJ trying to step your game up, make sure you come to this
conference because you'll get to hear first hand accounts of how to make an impact in the music business. Check out www.StylusGroup.ca or look up "It Starts With The DJ" on Facebook for more information!

We also had the Elekwent Folk in the house tonight. They came down to touch off on their new projects and drop a few freestyles with 2 Face Al. They got a lot going on so look forward to their new album coming soon called “Northern Lights”. Ridiculous cypher, so make sure you rock that podcast at www.UrbanRenewalProject.net  real soon!"...

Nate Abney (WKDU-Philly): "A week of wet weather here, a little cool for May but hey what are you going to do. Looks like Lebron is done, Flyers staying alive, and Phils are moving along. Will keep it short because Amtrak had me on the overtime watch so I'm in need of Z's. Peace"...

Kazzeo (KHDC-CA): "Last week was a beautiful one here in Northern Cali. My Raiders finally got rid of that fat, lazy, piece of shit, talentless, waste of 39 million dollars known as Jamarcus Russell. For 3 years this idiot took the money to just fumble, get sacked, and throw interceptions. Well that nightmare is now over. August can't come soon enough. Let's the season begin already!

Iron Man 2 came out last week. While it's not as good as the first one, it's still a really solid movie. Robert Downey, once again, did a great job. I liked the subliminal reference to Capt. America & the Avengers. And it was pretty funny when Iron Man was "scratching". Very cool to see DJ AM in there and seeing that "in memory of" in the credits.

Happy 7th birthday to Niko Madoyan.

Shareef Abdullah (WRFL-KY): "Shout out to Deep of 2 Hungry Bros & 8thW1 for being on the show last Saturday night. We built on everything from allergy conspiracies to the state of NY Hip-Hop. Definitely one of the best interviews I had in awhile. Crazy adds this week, that new Grimm and Ayinde' singles are pure heat. Also, can't forget about the new Apollo Brown remix of "Streets Won't Let Me Chill" by Diamond District, this dude is a beast on the boards. Until next time...be safe!!"...

Kevin Sakoda (KSPC-CA): "If you're not in the LA-area, you can catch the show live (via iTunes) every Saturday, 5-7PM (west-coast time): http://www.kspc.org/popup.html   You can also find archived playlists and download links 24/7: http://blogs.myspace.com/kevsakoda   Enjoy!"...
