Rap
Attack takes a "WHAT'S UPPER" look this week with:
DJ
Luicidal (KSJS-CA): "Cloudy week here in the
Bay Area. I have been busy preparing for finals week
here at SJSU. :ast Saturday was the Bring It Back
Tour Web Launch Party in San Jose! Featuring Roch,
Kenetic Source, Reef the Lost Cauze, Bash Bros., Rollin
Rockers, Elements of Style, and E-Sik. Gonna
be a hype event! Look for Bring It Back on the Van's
Warped Tour this summer. I'm also looking forward to
Nneka, Nas, and Damien Marley this week at
the Fox Theatre in
Oakland.
Hope everyone is doing well"...
Chill
Will
(WCBN-MI):
"What's up people? Gonna keep it short but big shout to
my dude Bizarre who came by the show and has a
new album that came out on Tuesday. One single from the
album is "Raps Finest" with Royce "Da 5'9" and
Red Man check it out. Also shout to everyone I ran
into while rocking the Devin Tha Dude show at The
Blind Pig. All I can say is "SMOKE, SMOKE, SMOKE" Lol

Shareef
Abdullah (WRFL-KY):
"Peace...all 5 adds this week are surefire heat!
Leading the pack is the ridiculous dope Reef the Lost
Cauze's "I'm A G!!" The slow and smooth sounds of
Infinite Supreme One's "Showdown" brings back
memories of the 90's...and the banging melody of
Cimer Amor's "Another Classic" sends chills up the
spine...and can't forget about the new pimp anthem from
Wais P. who gets a healthy dose of raw boom bap
courtesy of Scram Jones...dope ish all
around...keep it moving!!"...
Nate
Abney
(WKDU-Philly): "What up all. The Flyers
are rolling and now I'm thinking I may be walking down a
blocked off
Broad Street
soon. The weather a little wet this week but I'm not
sick so that's good. There are some good shows coming
here so maybe I'll get out the house and away from my
niece and go to a few. Will keep it short because you
don't want to hear all and plus I'm listening to a
Jackson Five album"...
DJ
Sage (CFRO-Vancouver,
BC): "We got into a much anticipated Double Shot this
week, featuring Nas & Damian Marley - "Distinct
Relatives". The album has the unfortunate task of living
up to the high hopes of fans around the world and
delivers as best as possible. It might take a few spins
to fully appreciate it, but Nas and Jr. Gong have
released an album that will breathe fresh air into
mainstream Hip-Hop.
It's a good time to be a Hip-Hop fan in Vancouver as
there are a GAMUT of acts playing shows in the city as
we move closer and closer to the Summer. Don't miss out
on the Straight Skills DJ Competition, Sweatshop
Union,
Public Enemy, Snak The Ripper, The Scale Breakers,
EPMD, Just Blaze, Reflection Eternal
and
Warren G, among others, all in and around
Vancouver.
Listen to the podcast for exact dates, or get those
digits working and search online.
2Face Al was also challenged by Needle Knieval
to bust an impromptu conscious freestyle about
immigration, oil spills and managed to diss on many
different individuals. Hopefully they hear it and try to
do something about it.

Jeep
Ward
aka DJ Halo (WPKN-CT): "YOOOOOO!!! What's
good with ya??? Enjoying this unseasonably cold spring
yet??? I know I AM...Climate Change HOOOOOOO!!! Aaaaand
let's F*ck up the gulf coast and east coast just for
good measure...NIIICE!!! I like the way you
think...Sorry about the uncalled for rant there"...
Stuart
DeLa Rosa
(KSMT-CO):
"What's the dealio with all my promo peeps out in radio
land USA? The music that you are all providing is
absolutely incredible and overwhelming at the same time.
It's so good to see so many artist on their grind, I
love it when MC's stay hungry and are never satisfied
even with the best of their tracks. Everything is going
great out here in the big CO with some changes in the
pipeline. Just a little update on the Lounge for your
files, My show is consider too raw and uncut for the
current time slot I am in (8-10 Sunday nights) and was
informed that the show is pushing a lot of boundaries
concerning the FCC. So with that being said I
just got a free pass to bang out even more nasty and raw
tracks but now at a time when the kids have gone off to
bed. The new time slot is 10-midnight on Sunday nights
now. It's only a two hour change but this should open my
show up even more now that I am on the radio later. At
first I was really upset
that they wanted to change it but with further thoughts
I figured it was the best way to keep me on air and
still bang out all the hot joints that all of you have
graciously provide me. So keep the tracks coming and I
will be sure to abuse and beat up KSMT 102.1 & 102.7
FM airwaves up every sunday night 10 to
midnight.......Word"...
Kazzeo
(KHDC-CA):
"I know I'm crazy late on this but, thanks to HBO On
Demand, I took this past weekend to watch season 1 &
2 of True Blood. Damn that show is dope! I admit it. I
slept on this big time but I'm officially hooked on that
shit now. And it's really ironic to me that the main
characters name, Sookie, rhymes with Nookie.
I'm just sayin. LOL.
I had the "luck" to spend three hours at the DMV
on Monday. In doing this, I finally found a less
desirable place to be than stuck on a cross country
flight with sick, screaming babies. And how is it that
no one waiting there can read? I mean there are signs up
EVERYWHERE in there that say NO CELL PHONE USE IN
BUILDING. Yet at least 20 people in there were screaming
into their cell phones. And don't even get me started on
the lack of deodorant up in there. Ahhhhhhh!
Smallville's season finale this past Friday was pretty
awesome. I hope they get it together though and
understand that, now that it's season 10, it's time for
Clark Kent to fly.
Happy 7th birthday to Niko Madoyan.
