remembers Gary Coleman (February 8, 1968 – May
28, 2010). Gary Coleman has passed away from injuries he
suffered from a fall at
home. Coleman, 42, had been in a coma after suffering a
brain hemorrhage, and his wife, Shannon, decided
to stop life support. The former child star of "Diff'rent
Strokes" had family and friends by his side at the Utah
hospital. And we also remember actor Dennis Hopper,
whose portrayals of drug-addled, often deranged misfits
in the landmark films "Easy Rider," "Apocalypse Now" and
"Blue Velvet" drew on his early out-of-control
experiences as part of a new generation of
Hollywood rebel, died at his home in
Venice,
Calif., on Saturday, according to reports. He was 74...

Chill
Will
(WCBN-MI):What's
up people? Rock the Bells just announced there line up,
and if you haven't seen it. It's ridiculous. WU,
Rakim, KRS-1 and a host of other. Definitely check
for it and the homie Big Sean from the D. Gotta
support ya know. It's finally getting hot and the clubs
are packed. So shout to everyone who's been following me
up and down I-94 it's much appreciated. For more
information about me DJ Chill Will go to

DJ
Sage (CFRO-Vancouver,
BC):Hip-Hop fans are liking it in Vancouver these days.
Since
EPMD,
Public Enemy
and
Reflection Eternal are hitting off shows this week,
we decided it was only right to hit you in the head with
a ton of tracks from these three legendary groups. If
you're up on Hip-Hop, you'll be digging the tunes
tonight!
We were also joined by Deep, one half of the NYC
production duo, 2 Hungry Bros... We chopped it up
about collaborations, past and upcoming projects as well
as the best place to get a good meal, coast-to-coast.
The Bros have been and continue to make big moves in the
Hip-Hop realm and have probably worked with some of your
favourite artists so get familiar! Make sure you check
out 2 Hungry Bros on
www.twitter.com/@2HungryBros and
www.Facebook.com/2HUNGRYBROS and
last but not least,
http://2HungryBros.BandCamp.com
Like we said, we got into a ton of great tunes, many of
which were EPMD and Reflection Eternal related, so we
really couldn't go wrong now could we! This has been one
of our best shows of the year so don't sleep! Don't
sleep, and download the podcast at:
www.UrbanRenewalProject.net very
shortly!"...
Shareef
Abdullah (WRFL-KY):What
up Hip-Hop fam! This week in rotation we add more heat,
starting with Bomshot's ridiculous collabo with
an incarcerated Max B. on "Ever See The Streets
Again," that is what I call a dope hook up, no pun
intended. 2nd is the nasty turntabilist joint "Strangest
Secret" by the TX homie NickNack, dude really
breaths life back into the art of making DJ inspired
joints...and coming in third is the raucous banger "2
Kool 4 Skool" by Deuce Ellis, who gets mad props
for dropping one of the illest chorues I've heard all
year, "Hip Hop taught me more than my high
school...Black man misunderstand viewed as a fool..."
real talk! Until next time...keep the vinyl alive!!
Peace & blessings"...
Savvy
(KSJS-KDON-
CA): Hay hay hay hay errbody hope all is well. lot's of
shows this week to hit the Bay Area and also the Central
Coast. Just yesterday, Talib Kweli and Hi Tek
were performing at The Fillmore in SF while on
tour for the new album, Revolutions Per Minute.
Black Smith label mates, Strong Arm Steady also
came out to peform with the fellas known as
Reflection Eternal and the crowd was thick (show was
almost sold out). The crowd really went bannanas when
surprise guest Jacka came out to show some love
to the SAS family. Peeps were in for a big treat though,
because it did not stop there. When it came time for
Reflection Eternal's encore, fans were hit with
another surpise performance of "93 till Infinity"
by none other then Bay Area veterans, Souls Of
Mischief. Very dope to see the love between all
these talented stars shared on one stage. That is what
hip hop is about. Tommorow I am heading out to the
Catalyst in
Santa Cruz
to check out Nneka perform with Nas and
Damian Marley. Friday I head out once again to check
Zion I perform with Erk The Jerk, and then
after party at the Red Room in Santa Cruz
with DJ Shea and DJ R-Cade for some funk,
hip hop and reggae. Stop by our page and peep all the
new music videos I have posted up from Statik
Selektah & Consequence, Fashawn & Blu, and
the Chosen Few. Have a blessed day everyone!"...
