was about to take place! Pictured left to right

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome your next governor
of California, DJ Kazzeo!!! Yeah that’s right, I
am now running for office. Hey why not? Unlike
Arnold,
I have never made a wack movie about an undercover cop
in a kindergarten class. Unlike Gary Coleman, I
have never assaulted a female autograph seeker while I
was working as a security guard. Unlike Larry Flynt,
I have never published any pornographic magazine. I have
looked at many though but that doesn’t count right? I
feel my only serious competition will be that of
Father Guido Sarducci. One issue that I will look in
to extensively will be that of medical marijuana. Even
though California has passed a state law allowing it,
many communities in the state still uphold the federal
law prohibiting it. Because of this confusion, I have
handpicked a 5 person task force consisting of experts
in the field. Those individuals are Woody Harrelson,
Nick Nolte, Robert Downey JR., Whitney
Houston, and Bam Morris... Shut’em down
shut’em down!!! Man what the hell was that blackout all
about on the East Coast? In a perfect world it would be
due to 1,000,000 dj’s all firing up their turntables all
at the same time. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
Most likely something just cracked… Let me get it out of
the way and admit defeat. Yes the 49’ers beat the
Raiders. Okay you happy now. Let’s move on… Our
homie Dan Shores at WHRW in Binghamton, NY
is looking for your assistance. If you can lace him with
the Da Ranjahz feat. Cee-Lo
“Insp-Her-Ation” single, contact him at 607.777.2139 for
his mailing address… Underground sensation C-Rayz
Walz is making noise with his latest single “The
Essence” on Def Jux. In addition, he’s about to
begin a 40 city tour at the end of September along with
Raekwon The Chef of Wu-Tang fame. Dates will be
announced shortly. For more info, call 213.368.1601 and
holla at the “sandwich queen” Jessica at
Spectre… Miami’s mixtape king DJ EFN wants
you to prepare for the release of his next mixtape,
volume 29 “Tropical Storm”, which will be hosted by
David Banner. Always guaranteed to bring heat, this
will be no different. Show our homie some love and log
on to
www.305hiphop.com to vote for DJ EFN,
Garcia, Drain, and Da All in the 1st
annual Miami Urban awards… Everlast a.k.a.
Whitey Ford has signed with Def Jam and will
release an album next year ... Many of you have been
rocking “Voodoo Child” by DJ Cam featuring Afu-Ra
on Koch for a minute now. Afu-Ra is looking
to set up some interviews so if you’re interested, you
can hit him up directly at
RealAfu@aol.com
. In addition, Detroit mc Vishiss, who’s single
“Battle Rhyme” is making much noise at college and
“Thaswassup” is hitting mixshow is also down for
interviews. To schedule anything with Vishiss, holla at
our girl Rebecca Altman at 914.260.4092 and hook
it up. Also, he will be hitting the West Coast for a
promo tour in September so stay tuned… You know the
other day I was thinking to myself “whatever happened to
Bronx mc Nine”? This guy cam out blazing and then
just disappeared. And then at the same time I wondered,
“whatever happened to that cat D-roy who worked
at Select Records a couple years back”… If you’re
into the whole progressive West Coast underground style
of Hip Hop, you need to peep out the latest release from
Rob Rush and Cumulus called “Please Go back -
Operation Free Flow” on Rec League Records. Hit
up
mooniescrew@mooniesmusic.com for more
info… Wanted & Respected a.k.a. W.A.R. is
back with the single “A Good Look” on Trife Life
Records. Strong effort from the crew. 718.398.1862
is the number to call for service… Before his legal
troubles, Ras Kass had time to record the banger
“6 Figures” with Skillz. It’s hitting radio now
via MaddGame Records. If you need it, dial
804.763.1191… Last week I told you that October 7 is the
day that Black Moon drops it’s new album “Total
Eclipse” on Duckdown records. In additon to that, they
have also put together a behind the scenes dvd which is
available at
www.duckdown.com . In further October 7
news, Death Row will be releasing a new album
called “Death Row Presents 2Pac - Nu Mixx Klazzics”. In
essence it will be a remix album of some of his greatest
hits. This is a must have for any true 2Pac fan… Open
Bar Entertainment, headed by Xzibit, will be
distributed by Interscope / Shady Records…
Am I the only one who is moved to vomit whenever I hear
that Lumidee “Uh Oh” song? Geeeez. Can someone
say off key?… Well the clash of the titans is upon us.
No not that cheesy Greek Mythology movie from the 80’s.
I mean Freddy vs. Jason. Myself, I am pulling for
Jason. I mean homie went to space and he took
Manhattan. Where had Freddy gone? Nowhere. Plus I
have always had a fascination with machete’s and hockey
masks’ so go figure… By now many of you know about
www.friendster.com which is a site where
you can network with friends and their friends. How many
friends has our own Nasty-Nes have now on
Friendster? This site can be addicting but lots of
fun & you'll recognize a lot of your fellow dj's on it
too! Well, there is now something equally as helpful and
that is
www.ringo.com . It is the same premise
but, in my opinion, is more of a solid site. Check it
out and you decide to join, link up with me… Our
conference call is really checking for the new
Hezekia / Bahamadia single “Gypsy Slang” on
Soulspazm Records and Jedi Mind Tricks
“Kublai Khan” on BabyGrande. For the Hezekia
record, visit
www.soulspazm.com and for the Jedi Mind
Tricks record, visit
www.babygrande.com … For those of you who
might be interested, The producers of NBC’s
Saturday Night Live have released a 5 disc dvd set of 25
years of musical performances from the show. Many
classics are included hear and I would highly recommend
this to any true music lover… Almost out of nowhere
comes the single “5 Mics” by Jayquan feat.
Melle Mel and Grand Master Caz. This is a hot
record for anyone who appreciate true old school mc’s.
If you don’t have it already, hit
jayquan@jayquan.com
and tell them RapAttack sent ya… Shouts to
my girl Odeliza who is one of the flyest up and
coming Bay Area models you’ll ever see. Visit her online
at her website at
www.odeliza.com and you’ll see what I
mean. Straight heat!… Why is it that smart people are so
hard to find? Case in point. The local commercial
station out my way is having a big concert next month
and tickets went on sale today. They announced where to
buy them so I went to the place. The guy at the counter
had no clue what I was talking about even though the
location had bought sponsorship to the event. Needless
to say, had I not taken my daily dose of Ridilin, I
would have went on a rampage... If you're into the r&b
meets hip-hop tip (i.e. LL meets R Kelly vibe), then
look out for the debut indy joint from Stress &
Magyver "Your Body's Like" (Crimson INK). This cut
has a nice catchy hook & flow to it that I'm feeling.
