Now that the election's over & we've got 4 more years with you know who, it's time to move forward & get this week started off to a better start with Philly's Numero Uno MixTape DJ & reppin' Forever Fam, it's DJ Meddafore who's back with his latest, "F#ck Radio." Why "F#ck Radio?" Meddafore says, "There's so much politics & bullsh#t in commercial radio with PD's & DJ's gettin' payed to play specific Hip-Hop records. The message that I want to get out from me & every emcee on my mix cd is that there are other outlets to hear the real Hip-Hop that's out there which isn't just heard on the radio." My homeboy's got a valid point & as I popped Med's cd, "F#ck The Radio" into my cd player I felt a sigh of relief to hear ish that you don't & won't hear on radio with the exception of college radio shows & both the internet & satellite Hip-Hop shows. Meddafore laces you with a grip of phat freestyles from: Wrekonize (MTV Battle Champ), Clipse, Angelous, El Gant, Pitbull & Cue Bo, Vice Raw, Garcia, Reef The Lost Cause, Jaz-O & Mr Reck and F.I.L.T.H.E.E. Immigrants. Other tracks that was pure fiya on "F#ck Radio" included Royce Da 5'9" "Street Dreams," Game "West Side Story (RMX)," Bishop Lamont "We Ain't Gangstas," Guru "Surviving The Game (I am feeling this track!!!)," Saigon "Shok TV" & Philly's own, Da Hytaz "Monster Behavior (this cut is bangin')!" Notice the DISCLAIMER on "F#ck Radio" says, "This is aimed at the radio industry, not all radio DJ's but if you wanna catch feelings, f#ck it-feel free." So there it is & I think Howard Stern would be mighty proud of Meddafore with droppin' this "F#ck The Radio" mix cd! DJ Meddafore's Forever Fam contingent celebrated their fifth year in style last Saturday, Nov. 6th's event at La Tazza (108 Chestnut St). Med showcased the entire FF squad - Kani, Elite, Shannon Swain, Splitt, Prajna, Rickit and Reflect - for this banger. Congrats homie.
