You know summer's just about here when you find yourself going to events every night..In Winnipeg alone we have Noreaga, Jazzy Jeff, K-os, Jully Black within the next 2 weeks! Even though there's a lot going on, that doesn’t stop all the dope music from being released in Canada so let me tell ya'll about a few nice projects I've heard recently.

One of Canada's longest running hiphop labels "Hand'Solo Records" has just released a brand new compilation of 21 songs featuring emcee's like Epic, Ill Seer, Noah23, Restiform Bodies, Mindbender, Toolshed and One of Canada’s original hiphop columnist’s Fritz The Cat. This project is a sequel to "Bassments Of Badmen:Volume 1" and provides the listener with the same kinda feeling you'd get from bumping any living legends bay area cassette. Mcenroe handled the mastering of this album so you know the quality is fresh!

Montreal is making some noise with a new record from a production team called "The Rain Makerz". DMC vet Dj Blast and Rayna Shine from The Rain Makerz lounge recently put out a 12" featuring Malicious & 88hiphop freestyle king Poison Pen. It's always dope to see Canadian head’s put out 12"s that proves the maple leaf can work alongside some of the best American emcees. Most of the Rap Attack heads reading this should have the record by now but if you don't please hit up my man Karam @ karam.d@rogers.com to get "Fall back" & "Take Off" on your tables ASAP!!

And finally something to keep your eyes and ears open for…Virgin Music Canada’s Brassmunk have recorded a remix for their latest 12” Big featuring Arcee, Mr. Roam and newcomers Daytona and Reign! If you’re feeling the originally joint you will definitely love this one!!
